Cosmos Loved Him...

Part 2

"Tine, can you hear us?" asked Sarawat when he saw Tine waking up. Tine turned his head to the other side and saw some strangers in white coats who definitely looked like doctors. However, when he looked up to the source of the voice which fell in his ears as a honey-dipped, he couldn't believe his eyes. First of all, no one has ever talked to him in this voice and second, how can this be possible? How can the man Tine has been crushing for months can be standing in front of him looking at him like he has hung stars for him?

Things slowly started coming back to him. He remembers getting in an accident when he left the dinner arranged by his parents forcefully. His parents just fixed his marriage with one of his friend's daughter without his permission. They told him that they would love to have a family dinner as they had not been on good terms for a while. Which was a total lie, they have never been on good terms from as ever Tine could remember. His brother Type was their golden child, topped in studies, scored well, graduated with flying colors, and bagged a placement in an IT tech company with good figures.

Tine was just a useless son to them all along. Tine always loved to play instruments no matter what it was but Paino and Guitars were his favourite. After graduation, he and his friends Pear, Phuak, Ohm, and Earn started a band doing shows in clubs or bars making decent money. It wasn't much but he loved his job, singing and playing for others and when they clapped after his performance it made Tine happy that he made someone's day.

His brother never minds any of his doings. Figured he was comfortable with the arrangement of being the golden and the obedient child of his parents, and he never wished to change it. He never bullied Tine like his parents but he never stood up even for his brother for any of the comments thrown at him. Seems like his only goal was to make his parents happy no matter what it takes. So, he happily married the girl his parents introduced him and now he was living a good married life, Tine thinks so because they weren't that close to sharing feelings and there was no other way Tine would ever know that was, he happy or not.

Well, being the disobedient child of his parents Tine added one more disaster to his list when he came out to his parents that he was not interested in women. Well, that was the last nail in the coffin and they stopped talking to him for months. Two days ago, they called him to apologize which felt weird to him but his best friends told him to go for dinner. Who knows they really want to make amendments.

When Tine reached the hotel, he found it suspicious at the first site. No way his parents could afford such an elite place for just a family dinner. But he just shrugged his bad feelings aside and walked in to find another family sitting with his family and his doubts doubled.

He took a deep breath and settled for the dinner and as the dinner started Tine realized he had made a big mistake by coming here. His mother treats him the same, and his father throws the same comments and insults insulting his band as well as his friends. And Tine had had enough when he heard that they fixed his engagement date with the girl sitting in front of him who he barely knew and had met half an hour ago. He doesn't even know her name.

"You know I'm not interested in women," said Tine throwing his cutlery on the table angrily and glaring at his parents.

"Behave," said Kai giving him a death glare and Tine scoffs finally accepting the truth that his parents never loved him. They were just using him as an asset so that they could marry him to in the rich family and have all their money.

"Tine, they are our parents they know our best," said Type trying to calm Tine down but the dam was already broken.

"You guys..." said Tine shaking his head with a pity smile and stood up sending his chair back with a screeching sound, "Never fail to disappoint me,"
