The days leading up to Thursday are boring in their mundaneness.
It seems ungrateful to complain about things going smoothly, but I really missed the girls. Sure we talked pretty much everyday, but we were all so busy with our lives that we didn't have time to hang out. So by Thursday, I was practically vibrating with nervous energy as the clocked ticked down to party time.
Ok, it wasn't a party seeing as how we did this every Thursday, but still.
I was changing my clothes for the thousandth time when Allie barges into my room, goes to my closet and pulls out my favorite sweatshirt and cozy pants and tosses them to me. "Wear these," she orders. "You're driving me crazy and they clearly already like you and won't care what you're wearing in your own home." I smile at her softly and she gets a suspicious look, "what?"
"When did you grow up? I'm supposed to be giving you advice on what to wear for the person you like, not the other way around," I tell her, holding up the clothes.
"Mama you have done that, many times," she reminds me.
Fake pouting, I toss the clothes on the bed then pull her into a hug, "my wittle baby is all growed up," I baby talk to her as she struggles to get away.
"Ewww," she groans, and I finally let her go. She heads for the door but stops before she leaves. She looks unsure as she asks, "are you dating them?"
"We are... seeing how things go."
"But you like them?"
I nod, smiling slightly, "yeah, I do."
Allie looks like she wants to say something but instead she just nods and leaves. Her reaction was strange, she never usually has a problem speaking her mind. Getting changed, I head out to find her and ask her about it, but when I do find her she's rearranging the living room with Natasha. Wanda and Ash watching them with amused expressions.
Nobody notices me and I take the opportunity to sneak up behind Wanda and wrap my arms around her, picking her up and spinning her around. She yells in surprise and it quickly turns to laughter as I spin her.
When I finally set her down she smacks my arm softly and I look over at Natasha, "Natty she hit me," I whine as I hold my arm, faking hurt.
Her eyes roll at the name, "I didn't see anything."
I look at Ash and Allie, "did you guys see her hit me?"
They look at each other and then back to me, "nope," they both say.
"Traitors," I grumble.
Natasha comes over to me and whispers in my ear, "I'll make it up to you later." She kisses my cheek and her hand trails along my stomach as she goes back to moving my furniture.
Her words make me blush and I ask, "anyone want a drink?"
As chorus of 'yes please' is my answer and I head to the kitchen. I don't notice that Wanda has followed me until I'm suddenly spun around and her lips claim mine. She pushes me the few feet to the counter and holds me there, her hands holding my hips in place.
Despite the sudden surprise, I give in to her completely. Part of me hated how I turn to putty with her but the other part is loving it.
Loving it a little too much judging by the yelling coming from the other room. "FIVE FEET APART WANDA!" Allie yells.
Wanda smiles against my lips and pulls away, "we really need to work on keeping your heartbeat steady," she teases.
"Not my fault you get it going," I grumble, missing her lips on mine.
