Heartbeat (Natasha x Wanda + One)

My chest hurts and there's an annoying beeping that echos around in my head.

Cracking my eyes open, I'm greeted by the blurry sight of three bodies all snuggled in my very small hospital bed. Blinking a few times, I can't help the small chuckle that escaped my parched and scratchy throat.

Allie lays on my right, her arm wrapped around my waist. Wanda is to my left, a mirror image to Allie. And Natasha.. she's somehow managed to balance herself at the bottom of my bed, her legs dangling off the side and her head resting on Wanda's legs.

Unlike the others though, she's wide awake and watching me.

When she sees that I'm awake she whispers, "welcome back."

"How," I croak out. Trying to swallow I try again, "how.. long?"

"Three days," she breaths out. "You got through surgery without any problems but they kept you under for a few days to give your heart a chance to adjust."

"Ash?" I look over to where Ash is still lying. There's noticeably less machines and Ash looks more peaceful as they sleep.

"Still unconscious but getting better." Natasha smiles, "the doctors removed the breathing tube. Ash is breathing on their own now. The doctors are hoping that in the next week they'll wake up."

I sigh deeply, all my worry disappearing. Or, most of it at least. There was still the glaring issue of the cps woman. Hopefully this wouldn't count against me and give her more of a reason to take Allie from me.

As if she can sense what's going through my mind, Allie's grip on me tightened and she mumbles, "I dealt with that bitchy woman. She won't be back and Ash is gonna live with WandaNat."

I give Natasha a questioning look and I think I see fear in her eyes, "Allie.. dealt with the cps lady. We got a call a few days ago that Ash is now under our care."

My mind floods with questions but the most pressing being, "WandaNat?"

"It's a ship name," Wanda answers sleepily. "My students taught me about them."

Allie nuzzles into me and groans, "sleep now talk later."

"Agreed," Wanda echos.

Natasha smiles at her wife and hooks an arm behind her head, "alright, bed time my loves."

"Yes ma'am," Wanda sighs. "Love you guys."

"Love you guys too," Allie echoes, much to my clear surprise.

I kiss the top of her and Wanda's heads, "goodnight baby, I love you." And even though I say towards Allie, my heart says it Wanda and Natasha too.
