Y/n's View

It's been 2 days since Billie told me to stay away from her and I have never felt so sad in my life. I have never met a woman with this much power over me.

I scroll through pictures of me and Billie in my camera roll and feel a tear run down my face.

"Y/n." Sabrina says.

"What?" I mumble.

"We're going out for dinner." Sabrina says.

"Have fun." I say.

"Y/n." Sabrina says.

"I don't want to go." I say.

"You can't mope around forever." Sabrina says.

"Don't tell me what I can and can't do. You didn't lose the love of your life." I say.

"Y/n-" She says.

"No! Your husband is waiting for you! He's waiting for you in New York! He looks at you like you're the only girl in the world! So don't tell me what I can't do because you have lost nothing!" I shout.

Sabrina sighs and walks out. I cover my face with a pillow and start to cry.

I sigh and move the pillow after a few minutes.

I just can't help myself.

I get up and put my hoodie on. I put my shoes on and grab the room key off the table.

30 minutes later...

I walk up to the gate and peak through the slits. I see Billie walk by a window and I feel my heart race.

I look around and grip the top of the fence. I lean back and lunge myself over it. I slowly approach the house and look through a window.

I see her sitting on the couch and my breath hitches. I stare at her and she looks in my direction. I quickly lie down in the grass and hold my breath.

Billie approaches the window and looks out of it. She closes the curtain and I crawl to another one. I carefully look through and see her walking back to the couch.

I rest my head against the window and my breath starts to fog up the window.

"Hey!" Someone shouts.

I turn around and look up. I see the neighbor on their balcony and they point a gun at me.

They shoot and I groan loudly. I roll around in the grass and see Billie get up through the window.

I groan and get up. They shoot again and I quickly run away.

I hide behind a tree and lift my shirt and hoodie up. I notice a bullet graze and I exhale.

"Oh, thank god." I say.

I catch my breath and look around. I put my hand on my side and hurry away.

Billie's View

"What's going on?" I ask walking outside.

"You need a bigger fence." Jeff says.

"What? Why?" I ask.

"Saw some Peeping Tom in your yard. I shot him though." Jeff says.

"You what?!" I ask.

"I shot him." Jeff says.

I stare at him in shock and he holds his hands up.

Jeff is my neighbor. He served in the army and was discharged due to PTSD. He's definitely paranoid, so I wouldn't be surprised if he just thought he saw someone.
