"Who are you talking about?" She asked, in confusion.

Fariha swallowed thickly at this as though she didn't want to remind herself about that thing. But at last, she met her gaze. "The guy who kidnapped you."

Andaleeb bit her lower lip in apprehension. "You wouldn't believe that I married him." She didn't know to what extent her family knew about all the happenings but telling them about this nikkah was inevitable if she wanted their help in finding the freedom. The most important was definitely was freedom from the growing dangerous desire she felt for that guy. Any kind of liberty could be attained by various means, but that needed her own will, she didn't know whether she would be able to resist his charm or not.

Fariha smiled weakly. "I know everything. A few days ago, he came here, everything about him screaming power, status,s, and money. One would fear and respect him by seeing his entitlement. In his expensive car which might be a dream for many people, with a crowd of guards making a show around him, proudly and fearlessly, he announced to the whole neighborhood that we had something against the notorious and rich son of the popular politician and landlord. His appearance at our doorstep was a direct proof that your disappearance has something to do with him."

Her eyes widened. "What did he say? Did he threaten all of you?"

Fariha shrugged her shoulders as her eyes turned a tinge of pink due to crying. They were swollen, given the fact that she must have been crying a lot since she left.

"Masab Shah Alavi kidnapped you because you caught his attention. He became obsessed with you when he first saw you on your trip to New York. That gave him the only solution to kidnap you on your wedding day. Andaleeb, you disappeared without any word. There wasn't any trace of you. At first, we thought that you might have rebelled because you hadn't forgotten that guy you loved and thought of your marriage day as the perfect opportunity to flee. But if you had to do that, you must have left any note, any clue, or if not, then you must have contacted us later on," Fariha trailed off to catch her breath.

Andaleeb's breath got stuck in her throat. She did leave a note and that was a very obvious indication that she had fled willingly to marry Aurang. Did none of her family catch that letter?

"Your Baba really thought that you fled with that guy you wanted to marry. He was very angry. So much that...that..." Fariha again hesitated and it felt like it was getting hard for her to meet her eyes.

Andaleeb held her hand. "That what, Mama?"

She gasped. "He was just looking out to kill both you and Aurang. He searched for both of you on his own first. His honor was at stake and his conservative brothers added fuel to his already fuming anger by provoking him. He was so angry at you that he wasn't listening to anyone. He just wanted to land a hand at both of you and shoot. There was so much humiliation he had to face. The sudden news broke like a fire that Sultan Ahmad's youngest daughter had just fled her wedding or, worse, just disappeared out of nowhere. Your father was furious and in need of venting his anger on the man who did this with you. However, he couldn't catch any clue. Then he lodged an FIR after fifteen days of your kidnapping. He somehow tracked Aurang's location by his phone number, which you gave him by joining with authorities, but it was told that the house where he lived belonged to a man who lived in Dubai. Here, he had given his house on rent, which was continually used by many people. They lived and then vacated occasionally. A person named Aurang, too, left his house many months ago, and someone else now lived there. The police weren't able to track you, and here, our anger changed into confusion and anxiety. Where were you, where did you go, what happened to you? Those days were so haunting for me when I was alone and there was no one to comfort me. Your father's ego was simmering and the fire was added to it by the ones near to him. They were making so many wrong assumptions about you. No matter which class you belong to, those disgusting words circulate about you if something like this happens to you. I couldn't hear those things, Andaleeb when they character assassinate you. My heart felt like on the verge of bursting. I had trust in you that you could never do something like this, and my trust remained true."
