2 : Love The Way It Hurts

Pon woke up from the noise outside his room. He rubbed his eyes and yawned before he got up and went to wash his face in the bathroom. When he finished he went to the kitchen, he found everyone there but his eyes fell to Pat who was now sitting from his usual seat. Pooh is the first one who noticed him and where he was looking. Since he is his best friend, he already understands what he was thinking. Pooh is sitting on the opposite side of Sailub facing the older one, beside him is Pavel who is sitting across Pat. Nut was nowhere to be found, maybe he went home early because he misses his boyfriend. Top and Michael were sitting with each other beside Pat. The only empty seats are beside Pooh.

Pon eyes stared at the two people sitting close to each other and giving each other food. It made his heart ache for a reason. He never sees Sai this sweet and close to anyone but him.

What a morning...

" Good Morning, best friend! Come, come! Let's eat. I will get you food. " Pooh invited him that made everyone look at him. He can feel everyone stared but he ignored it. He silently sat beside Pooh and let the younger man serve him food. Sometimes Pooh is more like an old brother to him, even though he is obviously older.

When he notices Sai getting up from his seat, Pon tries to ignore it. He focused on eating his breakfast.

" P'Pon, when is your graduation? " Top asked to lessen the awkwardness of the silence.

" It will be held next month. " Pon said and smiled. He is so excited to finally graduate. Of course he is not proud that at his age now, he is still about to graduate but just like every one of his friends said, there is no competition when it comes to education.

It's just that when he decided first what he wanted to pursue, he didn't think it through and struggled a lot. He tried to shift course but he found himself still stuck until he needed to stop to think first what he really wanted. It took him a year before he realized he wanted to study, mechanical engineer. It's not because of Sailub, it's more like whenever he stayed in the garage, he realized he loved the feeling.

" I'm so happy for you Phi. " Pooh said and hugged him from the side, followed by Pavel saying he is proud of him. Michael said that they should plan an outing for it and everyone agreed.

" Thank you, without your help I wouldn't even be here. " Pon sincerely said.

As they were busy talking, Sailub placed a glass of milk in front of him, this action made Pon lift his head and meet Sailub's eyes. The older one was smiling at him, showing his cute dimples.

Fuck, that smile again.

Pon couldn't help but smile, he heard everyone teasing them but it actually didn't matter since it was normal for them. Sailub was always doing this action, his act of service is one of the reasons Pon keeps falling for him.

All the happiness he felt suddenly left when he heard Sailub talk. " Guys stop teasing us, Pat might get the wrong idea again. "

That statement made Pon smile drop in a second. He looked at Pat who was now smiling at him. " No, it's okay, Sai. You already explained to me, last night. "

" Hmm. It's good that you understand. " Sailub replied and smiled at Pat before he ruffled his hair.

As Pon watched every action of Sai in front of him...It made him doubt every moment he cherished with him. Why is he doing to Pat what he used to do with Pon?

The atmosphere becomes quiet after Sailub statement. They just look at Pon who was now eating silently. They are almost done but Pon didn't even drink one drop of milk that Sailub gave to him. This made Sailub think that something was bothering the younger man. It made him worried again.

He's been watching Pon ever since he sat, the younger man is always smiling and talking to him but this time, he didn't even look at him, the only time he looked at him was when he offered the milk.

The silence was disturbed by Pon's phone. He got up and left to answer it. Sailub's eyes followed him until he couldn't catch a sight anymore.

" Pooh, do you have any idea what's bothering Pon? " This question of Sailub made everyone turn to him. They wanted to smack their friend but they decided not too, how stupid can this person be?

" He's probably tired. There are so many things to handle especially when you're graduating. " Pavel is the one who answered Sailub questions cause he knows if Pooh started talking, he will not stop until he is the one who is going to confess Pon's real feelings for Sailub.

" I already asked him, I don't think it's about university. " Sailub answered.

" Maybe it's about love? " Pat said.

" Whether it was about love or not, it actually has nothing to do with you. " Pooh stated clearly annoyed by Pat joining the conversation.

" Pooh. " Sailub warned him, the tone of his voice was totally scary but Pooh didn't even budge. He is hating this situation for his P'Pon, how can Sailub hurt him like this? His best friend is the sweetest person he has ever met. He didn't deserve this kind of shit.

" I'm just telling the truth. P'Sai, you can't just add someone in our circle without asking everyone. Didn't you even think if we are comfortable with him? It's fine to say you trust him, but we are different from you. This...this kind of conversation about P'Pon or his love life has nothing to do with him. Did you even think what will P'Pon will feel if he heard you talk about it in front of someone he just met? He is not even our friend. " Pooh said, Pavel held his lover's hand to stop him. When Pon returned from the dining area, he found everyone was quiet and Pat was crying.

" What happened? " He asked.

" I'm so disappointed. I didn't think you'd act like this to someone who didn't do anything to you. You can use a nicer word. Pon talked to your best friend cause I'm not liking the way he talked to Pat. " Sailub uttered and got up from his seat pulling Pat away from everyone.

Pavel was now comforting Pooh who is breathing heavily because of too much annoyance enveloping him. Pon sat beside Pooh and asked him what happened.

" I'm hating that Pat! He is clearly over P'Sai! It's so obvious that he has his hand wrapped around him. It's annoying! It's like Phi was ready to throw us out if we hurt him! " Pooh shouted. Pon sighed beside him. He stared at the door where Sailub and Pat left, he knows that Pooh is just worried about him, that he wanted to protect him but this kind of things...

In this kind of situation, he didn't need to be protected because it may sound crazy but Pon was willing to take all the pain just to be able to stay in Sailub's life...

Cause he loves the way it hurts.
