"Adrian…" The reality hit me like a wave. The man standing in front of me, the one who had just revealed his face, was none other than Adrian Leonard Kane—the very person I had been crushing on for so long. He was the one who had been sending me gifts, the one I had been talking to and chatting with these past months. He was the one who had kissed my skin, making me feel things I’d never felt before. As I stood there, lost in the whirlwind of my thoughts, Adrian gently shook me, pulling me back to the present. "Say something," he urged, his voice tinged with concern. "You haven’t said anything yet."
Startled, I abruptly got up from his lap, my mind racing with questions. "Why did you hide yourself?" I demanded, the words rushing out of me. "Adrian, we’ve met before! You could have told me, you know. We’ve seen each other frequently at the office, even at that party. And as the masked man, we spent a beautiful night together. So why didn’t you tell me? Why did you pretend to be someone else when you weren’t?"
He took a deep breath, his eyes locking onto mine with a mixture of regret and something deeper. "I didn’t know how to approach you, my love," he began, his voice soft yet filled with emotion. "I’ve been in love with you since the first time I saw you, but I held myself back. I was so consumed by my dark side that I didn’t want to risk you being affected by it. But you know what…"
He chuckled, the sound low and almost self-deprecating. "You love that side of me, and I never would have known unless I became that masked man, as you called me. Who would have thought that my innocent Anshi would enjoy such things with me?" His voice grew more intense, and he leaned in closer, his eyes darkening with desire. "And now, I’m eager to fulfill all my desires with you."
His words sent a shiver down my spine, and before I could respond, he was dangerously close, his lips just a breath away from mine. Our lips brushed, sending a jolt of electricity through me, and for a moment, the world around us seemed to disappear. The only thing that mattered was the heat between us, the unspoken promise in his gaze, and the intoxicating pull of our connection.
I could feel my heart pounding in my chest, a mix of anticipation and longing swirling within me. He was so close, so irresistibly close, and every part of me wanted to close the gap, to give in to the passion that simmered between us. But there was still a small part of me that needed answers, that needed to understand why he had chosen to hide behind the mask in the first place.
But as his breath mingled with mine, the intensity of the moment was too overwhelming, and the questions that had filled my mind moments ago seemed to fade away. All I could focus on was the sensation of his lips barely touching mine, the heat radiating from his body, and the undeniable connection that had drawn us together from the very beginning.
He held me there, suspended in that moment, his eyes searching mine for any sign of hesitation. But there was none.
His breath was warm against my lips, our faces so close that I could feel the heat of his skin, the tension between us thick and palpable. I could see the longing in his eyes, a mix of desire and vulnerability that mirrored my own feelings. It was as if we were on the edge of something irreversible, something that would change everything.
