“This is serious. An archemon is on Eterna! That’s literally a strong demon,” Marina said as I told them about it the next morning while we were eating.

When Eirene and I returned home, we were both exhausted, so they let us rest first.

“Yeah, you’re right, and we don’t know how many of them are here on Eterna.”

“And they managed to enter Hiraya University? Isn’t that supposed to be the most secure place? How did they get in and target the kids there?” She added.

Marina was serious, probably because she was worried that more creatures from the Underworld might come here. So when she heard that I fought an archdemon, she became even more frightened.

“Not only that… isn’t this a bad sign? If there’s an archdemon here, things might get even worse,” Margareth added.

Marina nodded, and I thought for a moment. Yes, it’s a bad sign, but they can’t easily conquer Eterna.

“Is it because they might try to conquer us again?” Eirene asked, puzzled.

“You got it,” Margareth said.

“Yeah, it’s possible, but they can’t do that easily,” I replied, standing up. “Eirene, do some meditation, and then we’ll start training.”

“Okay…” he said briefly, standing up as well.

We walked out of the house together, but we were both surprised when we saw Ash outside.

I frowned. What is he doing here?

“Ash?” Eirene said, surprised.

“Hey, Eirene!” He waved as he approached.

“Whaaat?! What’s he doing here?!” Eirene couldn’t believe it. Ash walked up to us, and when he saw me, his eyes widened.

“G-Good morning…” he suddenly lowered his voice as he spoke.

“What are you doing here?” I asked, raising an eyebrow. He swallowed hard and scratched the back of his neck, looking terrified.

“A-Ah… the professor has a message for you, so I’m here.”

I frowned. “About what?”

“She said there might be more possessions, so she needs your help.”

I furrowed my brows. “Tell your professor I’m not her servant. And why does she need my help? Isn’t that the job of your university? Isn’t that your responsibility?”

He froze, seemingly unsure of what to say. “There are many powerful wizards here on Eterna. Why is she coming to me? And besides, she’s there. I don’t think she needs my help.”

What does she want me to do? Has the situation become so severe that she needs my help?

“Go back to your university. Tell her I have no plans of helping,” I dismissed him. He just pouted at my words.

“Eirene, do your meditation and stop standing around!” I shouted. He snapped out of it and excused himself.

When Eirene left, I turned to Ash. He seemed like he still had something to say. “What? Do you have something else to say?”

He scratched his straight, blue hair that hung down. “She said it’s about the gate, but I don’t know what that is. She just told me to relay the message.”

The gate? The Underworld Gate?

“This is stressing me,”

“I can’t believe you’re friends with our professor… She never introduced any friends to us, so I didn’t expect her to have any.”
