“Aw!” Eirene held his butt after I pushed him onto his bed, causing him to fall hard onto the floor. His eyes were still half-closed, and he squinted in discomfort.

“Go take a bath. We’ll be eating soon. They’re almost done cooking.”

His eyes widened as he realized the time. “Wow, I slept too well,” he said, scratching his head while looking at me.

I gave him a bored look. “Hurry up. We still have training.” I then walked out of his room.

“I woke him up. He’s getting ready to take a bath,” I told Marina. While waiting for Eirene, I helped with washing the dishes.

“What time did we get home last night? No wonder that kid is so exhausted,” Marina said as she wiped down the table. “By the way, how’s his training going?”

“His improvement is still small, which is why I’m pushing his limits today,” I replied with a grin.

She paused mid-cleaning. “Don’t be too hard on that kid!”

“What? Then what’s the point of training if I don’t challenge him? We’re not even halfway through yet. We’re still at the starting line. These past three days have just been about preparing his body so he won’t be overwhelmed.”

“I’m just worried…”

“The kid’s tough, so don’t worry.” I reassured her. “He keeps complaining, but I can see that he’s slowly adjusting to the training. And I know his limits. Trust me, he can handle more. He just needs a little more pushing.”

“I trust you. I know you’ll help him. Do you think he’s one of the...”

“I’m still 50 percent sure and 50 percent not.”

“I can’t wait to see that kid bloom,” she said with a smile.

I continued washing the dishes while Devon took care of cooking. Margareth and Lelebeth were cleaning outside with the other fairies.

“Oh, I forgot to ask, what did you and Eury talk about last night?” Marina asked, curiosity in her eyes.

“Ah… she said she wouldn’t be able to join me in going to Hirama right away.”

“Does she still have something important to do here in Eterna? She’s been staying here for 20 years now.”

“That’s what I want to know. It’s like she’s hinting that I need to figure it out myself. She didn’t directly tell me her reason.” How am I supposed to figure out what she means? I don’t have any clues. Damn it!

When I finished washing up, Eirene had just finished bathing. We prepared the table and started eating.

I noticed Eirene looked sluggish. “Hey, why do you seem so down? Don’t tell me you’re going to be like this during training later,” I said with irritation.

He looked at me lazily. “I’m still sleepy…”

“Is that so? Perfect. You’ll wake up during our training later,” I said with a sly smile. He blinked twice at my comment and swallowed hard. He sat up straight, suddenly wide awake.

Tss…

“Eat properly so you’ll have energy later. You might not even be able to stand if you don’t have enough,” I said sternly.

“I-Is it going to be that hard…?” Fear was evident in his voice as he continued eating.

“What you did for the past three days wasn’t even training! I was just preparing your body so you wouldn’t be shocked.” I grinned, deliberately scaring him.
