0008. SORREL WEED HOUSE
ASTORIA'S EXPRESSION WAS one of deep concern as she walked between Tyler and Taylor. Her left arm was intertwined with Taylor's, the brown-haired girl practically pulling her into the house with an urgency that Astoria couldn't quite understand. The house loomed around her, but she could barely take in her surroundings. A sense of unease settled over her, making her feel as though unseen eyes were watching her every move. The hairs on the back of her neck stood on end, and a faint ringing in her ears only added to her discomfort. There was something profoundly unsettling about this place, but she couldn't pinpoint exactly what it was.
Astoria wasn't alone in her apprehension. Ashlyn, with her striking orange hair, lagged behind the group, her face mirroring Astoria's unease. She hesitated at the threshold, her deep frown indicating that she, too, felt the oppressive atmosphere of the house. It was as if an invisible force was holding her back, making her reluctant to follow the others inside.
Tyler's gaze shifted downward, his curiosity piqued by the palpable tension radiating from the dark-haired girl beside him. Her eyes darted around the room with a narrowed, almost frantic intensity, reminiscent of a cornered animal desperately searching for an escape route or the source of an imminent threat. The unease in her demeanor was unmistakable, and it confused him.
