Val stood in her room, an expectant expression on her face.

"I can't like her, no, I don't like her!" She said aloud to herself, almost wanting to believe it.

"Except her cute smile, and maybe her bl-" she started before realizing what she was saying.

No, I can't like her. This isn't possible, damn you Riley for making me feel this way. She slammed her fist on the table, obviously not happy.

I'm supposed to be straight, what will everyone think of me? What would become of my popular reputation with this?

She had met the girl just last week, and she wasn't too happy about the way she had been feeling.

Riley had been making her happy, she felt a little lighter when she was with her. She felt a feeling she had never felt before.

Riley listened to her, she was there for her. She kept her laughing even when she was sad, she had these eyes that made her want to stare into them every single moment of the day.

She had her doing things she's never done before, Val used to be afraid of roller coasters, and rides that were so high she thought she might felt faint.

This week when they were at the state fair, she had done it for Riley. She didn't know why, but the girl made her feel like she could do anything.

She could admit that she was a little scared at first, and admittedly nervous. But the blonde held her hand the entire ride, and she didn't even realize how it was making her feel.

After it, she had such a confidence and ended up going on every single ride at the park that day.

She sighed, realizing there was nothing she could do about the feeling, but let herself feel. Her friends were right after all.
