Today after school we had cheer practice,Me and Nat went straight to cheer practice.Today had been long and i could wait to go to Chris's and do what i love most.Sing.Once we were there we got introduced to everyone and found out are roles for the team.I wasn't fussed with what i got.I didn't want anything in particular .
The Cheer Captain of the year was a senior called Claire.The Cheer captain each year would pick a new Captain to put on the team before they left for college.Claire was selected by the last Captain.
Claire had been at the try outs and carefully selected roles for each girl.
"Right girls,These will probably change but just to get you guys started i have picked roles by strengths"She said standing up holding a clip board to her chest.
"So flyers,We have...Chloe,Grace,Taylor,Olivia and Kayla"All of the girls got up and hugged each other.They jumped up and down excitedly.
She continued to name girls different roles after one another.Nat was a tumbler.She told me she wanted to be a tumbler so as soon as i heard she was one i gave her a massive hug.
I was waiting for her to say my name but it never came.Nat looked at me confused.
Claire told everyone to stretch and get ready for learning a traditional routine.Nat grabbed my hand and ran over to Claire.
"Hey Claire,Ella didn't get a role"Claire turned and looked at me and smiled.
"Well actually,I was wondering if you could help me out.You would cheer,tumble and help me with routines.Choreograph them with me"
"Omg yes,I wont let you down"I grabbed Nat and jumped up and down.
Me and Nat went over to a part of a field and stretched.
"Can you do the splits?"Nat asked.
I went into the split position."I don't know can i?"
She laughed and came down into the splits next to me.
"Soo have you spoke to Seb?"She asks leaning forward to touch her toes.
"No i haven't,I think he is still pissed about yesterday"I look across the field and i see Seb.God he looked Hot in his Football uniform.
"Do you think i should say something?"
"No leave it,he had no right to get angry.It was already pretty late to even go anywhere"I looked over at the field and Seb saw me looking and so did Chris.
Chris waved at me and I waved back at him smiling .Seb looked at Chris and shook his head and turned the other way.My smile dropped.I knew i had upset him that night,but not that much.
After practice all the girls got their new cheer uniform.Claire had held me back to ask if i could make up a routine and teach the other girls before the first game.I wasn't sure if i had enough time but i was up for the challenge.
I saw Chris waiting for me standing at the bottom of the bleachers.I walked over to him and he watched me and smiled.A warm smile.
"So how are we getting to yours then?"I looked up at him.He was a lot taller than me.
"Well,I don't have a car yet,Soo maybe we could walk?"He asks.
"I don't mind"We walked back to his house and on the way we talked about random things.How his mum helped at a theatre a few blocks away.Him and his siblings would also go and help and sometimes be part of the show.
Once we got to Chris's house,his ma came straight over to me.
"Oh Ella,I heard you would be coming.What would you like for dinner dear?"she said wrapping me in a hug.
"Honestly anything Lisa"I smile at her .
"Ma,Me and Ella will be upstairs"Chris says making his way up the stairs.
I follow after him.
"So i have the whole song now,Its finished just need to sing it how its supposed to be"I say grabbing my notebook out of my bag.I pass it to Chris and he takes it and reads the song.
"Ella this is amazing "I laugh
"Thanks"
"So anyway who is it about"
"A boy,from New York.I thought he was the one.Obviously not"I look down at the floor.
"What happened if you don't mind me asking"Yes i did mind him asking but i felt like i could trust Chris not to go telling all my secrets.
"Well,it's that thing they say.Right person wrong time i guess"I looked into his eyes."It was a horrible break up,But it was both of us that decided it.It was a mutual decision"I got up and walked Over to the piano."It was for the best"
"Anyway come on,We have a song to sing"I laugh and oat the seat next to me.
I put the note book so he could see the lines and start to play the tune to the song.

"Chris you're a really good singer"I looked over at him and he just stared at me.His eyes locked onto mine.Chris leaned forward and kissed me.I was shocked.I didn't kiss back at first in the end i did kiss back.His hand went to the back of my hair pulling my face closer to his.I felt him smiling in the kiss,which made me smile.I pulled back for air.
Chris had a massive smile on his face.
"Ive been wanting to do that for a while now"Chris says scratching the back of his neck.
"Then why don't you do it again"
"God your trouble"He laughs.
"Nope i'm sure thats you"
"Just be quiet"He said pulling me back in .
