That's alright, let it out, talk to me
By Cavetown
Camille stood in front of door, hesitant, heart pounding. She knew it was Andrew. He rang the bell once, then a second time. Finally, he spoke again in a low but determined voice. She didn't answer, hoping he would leave.
- I know you're there.
She closed her eyes, trying to ignore his presence. But the determination in his voice made waver.
- Andrew, no!' she whispered, more to herself than to him.
Andrew, behind the door, didn't seem ready to give up.
- Please, I can help, answer your questions. I want to make sure you're all right after today at the hospital.
Camille hesitated for a moment before sighing and letting him in. Andrew was clumsily holding a basket of sweets in his hands, and she couldn't help wondering how he knew what had happened.
- How do you know?' she asked, immediately suspecting that Marcus had spoken. It's Marcus, isn't it? He can't mind his own business!
- No, it's for you,' Andrew said timidly, as if he didn't want to escalate the situation.
Camille hesitated for a moment, sizing up the basket he was handing her.
- Nothing strange, there's chocolate, your favourite,' he added with a slight smile. Camille smiled in spite of herself.
- I'll go if you like,' added Andrew, ready to turn back, but he paused.
She finally opened her mouth, but face remained closed
- You've got a lot of explaining to do,' she said, before inviting him to sit down.
Andrew took a seat, while Camille remained standing, arms still crossed.
- Can I get you anything?' he offered.
- No,' she replied coldly, determined to keep control of the situation. She took a deep breath, then asked questions, one by one, noting Andrew's answers, trying to sort out everything she understood.
- What's it like to have a baby who's a witch or a wizard?' she asked, breaking the silence.
- Andrew didn't hesitate: Powers often appear when the child is young, between five and seven, usually one of the elements, or a more powerful but rare power.
- How?' she interrupted him, concern showing in her voice.
- Weaver,' Andrew murmured, as if the word were a key. 'Time travel, the use of time.
- What? Camille's eyes widened in confusion.
Andrew took the time to explain, mentioning Diana Bishop, now of Clairemont, abilities, and how she could travel through time. This... everything she knows was changing.
- I'm not supposed to know that,' Camille replied, feeling a new wave of anxiety rise.
- No, but you know now,' he replied simply. Then he gently brought a glass of water. Camille took the glass, her hands trembling slightly. A migraine ran through her, making slightly nauseous.
- Vampire? Please explain.
- I'm not an expert, but... they live by feeding on blood, either pockets or directly.
Camille gagged at this mention. She took a deep breath, trying to control her reaction.
- Are you all right?' Andrew asked, his concern growing.
