October 7th, 2024...
It was 7AM. I had just barely gotten to my first period class in time. As soon as I got in, my friend Walter Preiser (pronounced like prayer) greeted me. I took a seat across from him. Walt was one of my best friends in high school. I met him through the Choir program at my school. We have a whole music department consisting of a Choir, a Band, and an Orchestra. Us having this class together was cool, but the only downfall was it was a College Algebra class. I swear to God, doing Math from 7AM to 8AM was the worst thing so far in the school year. And we're only 7 weeks in. We talk about a lot of stuff we both like when we can or when we're doing work, such as music (of course), movies from Marvel or horror movies, we talk a bit about the mascot horror genre, we also both check out similar stories on Webtoon and Wattpad. Overall, he's basically my brother. We talked a bit while doing the work the teacher gave us after talking about equations and shit for 45 minutes. Seriously, why do some teachers only give us 15 minutes to work? I'm a highschool senior, i want an easy year, not a year of homework. Thankfully the work was simple today but me and Walt both have that fear of future work being harder. That's what happens though, right?I separated from my friend to go my second period teacher assistant class. That was simple, all i really needed to do was print papers. Otherwise i just sat down reading this book called "The Gates of Hell". It's a story about a young adult- maybe 28- finding a way to cheat death after a near-fatal accident. Very interesting to me. I would go on my phone but... well, the school's phone policy can be strict sometimes. From there, I had a Spanish class for third period. So far pretty easy. Fourth period was my choir class and I met with Walter again. He walked in the choir room and adjusted his brown hair with his fingers. I stopped him before he walked in. "Dude, do you think there might be any changes to our schedules?" I asked him. Normally first quarter of the year ended after the first week of October. Around then is when the school makes last minute schedule changes and places some students in different classes for different periods. "I don't think so. I think we'll be good for first and they can't really change our schedules for this period." Walter stated. He was right.
Fifth period was nothing special. I had a US History class during that time and honestly it wasn't something I needed according to my state law, but i needed another class to fill in my schedule. Then my sixth period was English. So far English is the easiest class and i haven't had a single homework assignment from it yet. Heck, i didn't have much homework at all yet. But since Math always finds a way to get harder, I assume College Algebra will start handing out more homework in coming weeks. Then for my seventh period, it was basically a free credit as long as I had a job. I get to leave earlier than most students. I work part time as a bagger at a store that pays pretty well. I used the money to help my parents buy me a car, i pay for my own phone, and I'll use it to buy a milkshake every once in a while at a fast food place. Hell, I could probably buy my own house if i wanted to. But i wont. I'm comfortable at my folks' home for now. Anyway, thats my normal everyday schedule.
When I get back home, i text a few friends, and I play on a console. I have a Playstation and a Switch so i have a wide variety of games to play. Plus i like video games. But sometimes I'll head to my garage and workout. I definitely don't look like Hugh Jackman, but I'm no Lankman either. Normally i do crunches, push ups, weight lifting, and a few other things that help maintain the abs, chest, and arms. Or maybe I'll be easy on myself and go for a run.
