Fifth period came along and Kaylie came to sit next to me. She was in a gray shirt and jean shorts. "Those match well." I told her.
"Thanks." She said as she stuffed her phone in her pocket.
"I have a question about your shorts, if you don't mind?" I started.
"Go ahead."
"Are jean shorts your go-to clothing option?" I asked.
"Thats it? I was worried it was gonna be something worse." She stated. "Uhh, yeah. These and those black pants." She lowered her voice a little and sounded so soothing. "Thank god these aren't those really short ones. Those suck."
"I don't blame you for thinking that. They don't seem too comfortable." I said. "Not that i've ever worn a pair." She let out a cute little chuckle. "What?"
"You're funny, i like it." She said. I blushed a little and smiled.
"You're not too bad yourself." I said.
"Thanks." She said as her face slightly turned red. The teacher started doing his job and we filled out the notes. Easy class as always. At the end, me and Kaylie started talking again. "So which FNAF game do you like most?" I asked.
"Help Wanted might be my favorite right now." She told me.
"Sweet. Mine is...well honestly i didn't think i'd make it this far." I told her. "Probably FNAF 4. Great game and scary game. Love it."
"I never actually finished FNAF 4. I got to night four and Freddy got me. Then i was like 'nope' and never touched it again." She said. I started laughing a little. Then we left for lunch. "So? Got anything fun going on after school?"
"Uhh...no. Nothing really hut...well staying home, playing games, blah blah blah." I told her.
"Do you happen to work out much?" She asked. I was surprised, but i was also intrigued. "Yes, i do."
"Wanna maybe go for a run in my neighborhood? You know where I live." She said.
"Yeah, i'd love to." I said with a smile. She took a turn. "I got work to do in another class during this period. Tell Kyle I said hi." Kaylie said.
"Yeah, sure thing." I said. She waved and then turned away. I silently celebrated to myself as I walked to the cafeteria. She wants to hang out with me...wait is this kind of a date?

About an hour after school ended, I texted Kaylie "Omw to your neighborhood for that run." She texted back "alr I'll be out there waiting." If I didn't already say it, I don't life too far from the school either but I live in the opposite direction as Kaylie. I got to her house and parked my car. I was wearing a gray tank top shirt and gym shorts. She was wearing green shorts and the same gray shirt. "Ready?" She asked.
"Hell yeah, I'm ready. Let's do this." I said as I cracked my fingers. We started our easy little run. Nothing competitive or insanely fast. Just an easy run that was kinda awkward at first since we weren't talking. Then Kaylie broke the ice. "Maybe you should wear tank tops more. Your arms don't look bad." She said.
"Oh. Uhh, thanks." I said. I never got a compliment like that before. Wait, was she flirting with me? I gotta get her back. I spent a while on our run thinking about what to say. Then i remembered I have seen her arms before. "I've seen your arms before. That time in class?" I said. She remembered and slowed down a little. "You saw my arms?" She asked.
"Yeah. Strong arms, not bad." I said. I saw her blush a little as she caught back up with me. "So uhh...i gotta ask...is this kind of a date?" I asked her.
"What? A-a date?" Kaylie asked. "No, this is... friends hanging out. I'm sure you hanging out with Kyle isn't a date, right?"
"No."
"Exactly." She said. I guess that she was right. We continued our run and got back to her house. "Well, that was a fun run." I said as I wiped a little sweat from my forehead. She grabbed the top of her shirt and wiped her face with it. "Not bad." Kaylie said. "So, see you tomorrow?"
"Yeah. See ya then." I said. We did a quick pound it and then I returned to my car.
