Do You Like Tomboys? (Original Story)

Kaylie's POV...
Connor just dropped me off at my house and drove away after I got inside my house. I placed the taco i got in the fridge and went to my room. Connor was on my mind. I love how he makes me feel. I wish I could describe it in detail but... I feel like I'm falling. For him. I never knew this is what this type of love felt like. I needed to text somebody. I immediately landed on Abigail. She was the only one that knew about this.

Kaylie: Abby! You know that boy Connor i've been talking abt?

Abigail: yes i know. You tell us about him a bit much. But i just wanna share Pearl probably has a crush on him

Kaylie: Pearl is a good friend and she is very pretty but I don't think Connor is after a girl that wears a lot of makeup. And i know it because we practically just went on a date!

Abigail: WHAAAT??

Kaylie: I was shocked too. Idk what to think, i feel like it was a dream!

Abigail: you are. You'll wake in five seconds.

Kaylie: ...

Abigail: It's real.

Kaylie: I know it is. How do I follow up on this? Do i take him out now?

Abigail: well you did go for that run with him. Maybe he considered THAT a date? I know what you said but come ON you know you asked him on a date!

Kaylie: yeah... that run was kind of a date. And... I took my zip jacket off and I think he saw my abs.

Abigail: did he say anything?

Kaylie: i don't think he wanted to make it awkward. I did ask him if he liked tomboys (ahem, me) and he said he does

Abigail: well aren't you both high school seniors?

Kaylie: yeah.

Abigail: and you're both 18?

Kaylie: yeahh?

Abigail: well then by law you're both legally consenting adults. I believe he might like you right back. Next time you go on a date or do something fun together, you better ask him!

I texted back nothing more than "okay." And then I grabbed my Nintendo Switch controllers. I started playing Luigi's Mansion 3. Whilst I played, I got a few ideas on what to say. Then I thought about Homecoming. Only problem was Homecoming was last week. I didn't go to it and I don't know if Connor did. If he's never dated, then maybe he didn't. I then thought maybe I could try to find a bowling alley and maybe we can dance there while bowling or in the arcade? It's such a dumb idea but it sounds so cool in my head. Maybe not this weekend tho. Maybe next weekend. Then my phone dinged. I checked. It was Connor.

Connor: made it home

Kaylie: hey man good to know! Glad we got to do that

Connor: np

Kaylie: we should definitely do more like that.

Connor: hell yeah we should. Maybe next weekend would work as a time?

Kaylie: yes! That works perfectly!

Connor: sweet. See ya on Monday

Kaylie: see ya

I put the phone down and kept playing my game. I got whooped by some ghosts. "Damn it." I whispered to myself. Then i sighed. "Connor, i hope the wait is worth it." I said to myself. Then an idea came to mind but it felt a little rushed. I left it as it was.
