Bigger than the whole sky

Cancer fucking sucks. Its a horrible thing that people go through. And here I am. Sitting in a hospital waiting room with the Morris family. His cancer got worse, more aggressive. So we can hope for is good news. But I dont think that is what we are getting as I see his dad walk in the waiting room. I see the main doctor and another person who  I'm guessing is the other doctor walk towards us. 

" August Morris? " The doctor said.

" Yes is he okay? " Sophia asks. I really hope he is. I love Auggie with my whole heart. He is so sweet and funny. 

" Ma'am you might want to sit down for this. " That's not good news. I've seen to much greys anatomy to know what happens next. 

" No he can't be." Sophia chokes out. 

" His cancer came back stronger and brought a tumor along with it. His body couldn't fight it anymore. We tried our hardest but it was just to strong for his body. " My doctor says, his dad is comforting anna and his mom. Drew just gets up and walks out. 

" I'm gonna go with him." I say giving Sophia a hug. " Im so sorry. " I say crying. I catch up with drew and we walk to a nearby park. 

" Daisy you really shouldn't be out here with out a guard. Your parents are gonna kill me. Tree is gonna kill me because of all the photos. We have both been crying the entire way here and its gonna look like something happened!" He just lost his brother. And he was concerned for me. God how did I get so fucking lucky. 

" Babe, I don't care about the press and the photos right now. I care about my boyfriend and how he is feeling. Because, look at me. Because you just lost the boy that made you a big brother. I just need you to be ok. I love you ok? And right now I think your family needs you. " I say and he just gives me a hug. And starts sobbing into my shoulder. 

" He's only 11. Daisy he had so much left. He doesn't get to go be a firefighter anymore. " Auggie wanted to be a firefighter when he grew up. 

" I know but he can be what ever he wants now. So lets head back. Your sister needs you. " Anna is one of my best friends now. 

" Ok " he said. We held hands the walk back to the hospital. 

1 week later ( sorry I can't write the sad stuff anymore I need something to lift my spirits because I can image losing a sibling let alone my brother or my sister) 

" Daisy! Lucy and Kaitlyn are here! We have to leave to go to the game soon! " My mom yelled out for me. Her bump was showing a little now but it's good that they somewhat waited until the tour was over to have another kid. Because my mom didn't want to have another for a while but she told my dad after the tour. And I guess he couldn't wait. We have a game today and it's against the Broncos. 

" Ok! I can't find my 87 jacket! " that thing is one of my prized possessions. It was from Auggie for my birthday. I miss him so much. His funeral was stunning and I preformed " Bigger than the whole sky " but very acoustic and sad. 

" Its in my room on my bed." My mom said walking into my room with Lucy and Kaitlyn. 

" Ok. Hi! Im so excited you guys are here! " I say to the girls who live in New York. 

" Same! I can't wait to meet your boyfriend!! "  Lucy says. Andrew decided he wanted to come to the game. He said he needed to get out of the house.

" Oh my god yes from what I've seen he's adorable! " Kaitlyn said with her British accent. 

" yeah he should be here soon. But please be nice and don't smother him. He just lost him little brother." I say and go grab my jacket. 

Drew gets there and he's talking with my mom when I come down. 

" Hi! You look stunning! " He says to me and greets me with a kiss. I can already feel Kaitlyn and Lucy going crazy behind me. 

" Hi, you look amazing as well. " I say and we all go get in the Rolls Royce. The car ride is a little entertaining as Kaitlyn and Lucy are just yapping away and I always giggle when Kait says something like " Bloody Hell ". 

" Daisy why are you laughing? " My mom asks as we pull into Arrowhead. 

" Kaitlyn is just really British. Like ' Bloody Hell' " Kait and Lucy look at me and start laughing as we walk into the stadium. 

" Oh stop Don't be daft!" Kaitlyn says. She pushes my shoulder and I pretend that it hurt. We all start laughing and I look over at drew. He's smiling again. I haven't seen him smiling since what happened with Auggie. 

We won by a landslide, 36-6 and my dad very happy. The Chiefs have been undefeated this season so far. 

 The girls sleep over. We go out on my trampoline and do fun makeup. We are all watching a movie and  its around 1:15 in the morning and I get a phone call. I excuse myself and go out to the living room.

" Daisy " It was Wyatt. She sounded scared and I knew she was calling me off of her ipad

" Hi honey are you ok?" I could hear her crying and it broke my heart. I really hope everything is ok. 

" I had a scary dream and I went to mommy and daddy but they won't wake up. It was really scary daisy. " She said and all I wanted to do was hug her. She Is only 6.

" Do you want me to get Uncle Trav and Auntie Tay? " she didn't say anything but I could hear her little " mhm" and I ran to my parents room and neither of them are in there but then I go downstairs and hear my mom singing and my dad praising her. I walk in and they both look at me.

" Hey honey everything ok?" my mom asks. 

" I have Wyatt on the phone. She had scary dream and Aunt Kylie and Uncle Jason are both dead asleep. She called me and I asked her if she want to talk to you guys. " I say. My dad takes my phone and my mom puts down her guitar. I can't wait for this baby to be the princess/prince treatment that I got. 

" Hey girlie! What was scary in your dream? Maybe we can make it a happy dream and then auntie Tay can can sing you a song ok?" My dad said.

" Ok it was really dark and there was spiders and snakes and and and it was just really scary uncle travvy." she said and she almost started crying. 

" Ok lets just pretend that its Halloween? And your trick or treating and someone has spider decorations just like mommy and daddy has. And its a really nice spider and its really fluffy! And you get your favorite gummy snakes for the gummy bear company! Is that better?" My dad did this with me when I was younger. 

" Yeah that made it much better! Can auntie Tay sing me a song now? And maybe daisy Mae too? " She said and I giggled. I left and checked up on the girls and they were watching the movie still. 

" hey is everything alright you left really quickly? " Lucy asks. Lucy was with me from pre school and then we met Kaitlyn in first grade.

" Yeah my cousin, Wyatt who is 6 had a bad dream. She talking to my parents right now and they are probably talking about what song my mom should sing and ill go with something like Clara bow. " I said. I loved Wyatt like she was my own little sister. 

" awww can we come down and watch? Wait that sounded weird. Can we come with you?" Kaitlyn asked. I nodded and we all headed downstairs. 

Wyatt decided on never grow up. So when I walk down they are now on facetime on my dads phone and I was given back mine. 

" Oh darling don't you ever grow don't you ever grow up. It can stay this simple!" My mom sing and then she finishes out the song. Wyatt was now laying down on her bed with her iPad propped up. 

" Daisy mae? Can you sing enchanted or Clara bow?" I went with enchanted just because I don't remember the clean version to Clara bow.

" I was enchanted to meet you! This night is sparking don't you let it go I'm wonder struck gushing all the way home! " I sing and she is asleep. my parents are truly night owls so they stay one FaceTime with the girl until she get woken up by Kylie.
