(One day I'll go through and change Token to the "correct" name. Haha, who am I kidding. Maybe. One day, lmao. Anyway, I know it might not seem like it but we are heading towards the end, I mean there's still like several chapters at least, but STILL. I've almost written it out to the end and just need to do edits to the drafts. Yay! Lol!)

Stan frowned at his locker as he yanked it open. A weird feeling was pooling in the pit of his stomach. Kyle wasn't here yet. That was important for some reason, but he couldn't remember why. He recalled being concerned about Kyle over the weekend and he thought they had plans over the weekend, something about meeting.... in the woods? He wasn't sure. He definitely had not seen Kyle and was worried that his best friend wasn't in school. He was missing more and more school this year and it was very out of character for him. Kyle always showed up for school. This year was so odd, Stan couldn't understand it.

The part of him that wasn't preoccupied with worrying over Kyle was over the moon at thoughts of Kenny. They had made so much progress over the weekend! His fingertips kept moving to his mouth of their own accord, it seemed, remembering that passionate kiss he shared with Kenny. Shared was a strong word, more like Kenny passionately kissed him while he stood there stunned, too shocked to move. The memory was a floaty thing, almost like a whisper that kept trying to get away from him, but he clung to it, refusing to ever forget that kind of passion from Kenny.

Speaking of Kenny, he hadn't seen him since then and hadn't heard anything from him or Cartman. He was tempted to reach out again, but it hadn't been that long and insecurities were starting to eat him up now. What if he was coming across as desperate? The confidence Kenny had shown was making him question a lot.

He had never seen him be so confident before and it unnerved him. This wasn't like him and it was making him think about the alcohol in the fridge at his house. Before now it felt like Kenny was always the one that had been insecure and not confident. He also felt the urge to call Wendy, but after his last conversation with Kenny, he was concerned about how the other might react. There was also something nagging at the back of his mind about Wendy and Kyle, but he couldn't figure it out. Shrugging it off, he decided to file it away for later and head to class.

"Good morning, you look happy today," Craig greeted Stan once the latter reached the classroom. Stan was surprised to see Craig and felt silly since he knew he had the class with him. After recovering, he grinned and beamed at his friend.

"Yes I am. I had a fantastic weekend!" he exclaimed, anxious to fill him in on the new developments over the weekend. He hurriedly told Craig about the restaurant, about Kenny asking him to go on a date, and about how passionate and assertive Kenny had been. Craig nodded as he listened, a slow sagely smile forming on his lips. It appeared he was about to respond when the teacher interrupted their conversation announcing to the class that it was time to begin and pull out their work from the previous class. Giving Craig a last bright smile, Stan began rummaging in his book bag, thoughts already lost to replaying the weekend he had with Kenny.

Lunchtime rolled around quickly and Stan found himself at the cafeteria. He already knew Kyle wasn't there and it seemed like Kenny and Cartman had never shown up either. He glanced around the cafeteria, looking for Craig, Butters, Tweak or Clyde. He already knew Craig was there so he kept scanning the cafeteria until he spotted him. He was at a table towards the back with Tweak, Butters, and Token. It wasn't that unusual to see Token at their table but this past year he was usually hanging out in a different area of the school, often leaving with other friends that drove off campus to get lunch from a drive-thru. Stan was surprised he was there and his mouth was set into a grim line when Stan approached. Everyone at the table glanced over at him, any chatter dying down as Stan slid into a seat.
