"Xandarians. What a bunch of losers."

"You could say that again, all in a big hurry to get from something stupid, to nothing at all. How pathetic is that?"

Currently, Rocket, Groot, and I were looking for bounties. Well, Rocket and I were mostly insulting everyone we came across, and Groot was drinking from the fountain.

"Don't drink fountain water, you idiot." Rocket scolded at Groot.

"That's just disgusting. Do you even know where it's been, Groot?" I gagged. Groot shook his head, denying that he was even drinking it in the first place.

"Yes, you did. We just saw you doing it."

That's when the device that Rocket was holding started going crazy. It showed a man talking to a pink skinned woman and a girl who seemed to be about my age who was just leaning against the railing of the balcony of the second floor, both were wearing Ravager clothes. "Okay, humies, how bad does someone wanna find you two?" Rocket questioned then the price for the bounty showed for each of them, and the amount was, "40,000 units each?"

"Holy shit! That's about 80,000 units altogether. We're gonna be rich."

We didn't wait that long for the man and the girl to come out of the shop as they were shoved out moments later, but we couldn't go into action just yet for a green woman was talking to the man, but then she grabbed whatever was in his hand and kicked him. She ran off, and the two began pursuit.

Just as the green one was about to stab the man, the girl tackled her, and the two of them went rolling on the ground. That was when Rocket jumped onto the green woman's head. "Put her in the bag. Put her in the bag!" He demanded to Groot.

Groot did as he was told, but he didn't get the right one. "No! Not her, the younger one! Learn ages, man."

Because  the four of us were too busy on one another, we didn't notice our targets ran away from us. The green woman then grabbed Rocket off of her and threw him into me, knocking me down.

"Hey! You can't just throw anyone like that!" I yelled as she jumped down to the second floor of the shopping center.

We all then followed and jumped from the second floor to the first. It was just the man on the second floor until he was joined by the girl. That was when they were snatched up by Groot in a burlap sack.

"Quit smiling, you idiot. You're supposed to be a professional." Rocket told Groot.

"All in a day's work for us. How about we have some takeout toni-- You gotta be kidding me." I groaned as the green woman made her way back over to us, with a sword, pushing me and Rocket out of the way. She began chopping at Groot's arms as he dropped the bag containing the man and the girl. When Groot's arms were cut off completely, the woman went to look in the bag but was met with an electrical surge through her entire body.

The man and the girl then ran off in the opposite direction of the others who were after them in the first place.

"I live for the simple things." Rocket brought out his gun. "Like how much this is gonna hurt." He pulled the trigger, and the two collapsed to the ground as they were both electrocuted.

"Hah!" I mocked the two.

That was when all four of us were surrounded by light and started floating above the ground. Shit. We were being arrested. From where I was floating, I could see the girl and the man we were chasing being picked up by Nova Corps. It seems like we weren't going to be the only ones getting arrested.

As all six of us stood in a containment room where the Nova Corps did background checks on us, I found out the names of the others. Like the green woman turned out to be Gamora, the adopted daughter of Thanos and the fiercest woman in the galaxy. Never in my years of living that I'd imagine having to be arrested with her. The man that they were chasing was named Peter Jason Quill, a Terran, raised by ravagers. And finally, they did one on the girl, and what do you know, her name was none other than...

"Lacy Udonta, the adopted daughter of Yondu Udonta. From Terra. Raised by Ravagers alongside Peter Quill and has been seen accompanying him on his recent thievings."

Lacy, I thought, what a beautiful named for such a... pretty girl-- what- what am I thinking??

"What a bunch of a-holes." A Nova Corp officer said. "Transport all six to the kyln."

Prison wasn't part of the plan for today, but I figured that we wouldn't be here long since Rocket has escaped at least 22 prisons over the years. Currently, all six of us were being walked through the halls of the prison with our hands cuffed in front, Gamora at the very front, then Rocket, Peter, Groot, Lacy, and me. As the others were listening to Rocket complain, I couldn't help but be interested in Lacy, I didn't know what it was but I didn't like it one bit and completely pushed away the thought.

"So, is that raccoon your... Father?" I heard a soft-spoken, friendly voice say.

"NOT A RACCOON!" Rocket yelled from up front

I snapped out of my thoughts, realizing I had been spacing out and looking at Lacy for too long. "Oh! Yeah, I guess you could say that." I quickly said. "Also, his name is Rocket, and I advise not calling him that word."

Just then, something else caught both of our attention. "Hey!" Lacy's brother, Peter yelled, "Put that away!" He slid in through a door right before it closed. He demanded for one of the guards to take off his headphones, but that didn't go so well, and the guard electrocuted him with a baton. "Peter!" Lacy yelled as she grabbed onto the bars, which prevented her from doing anything. All she could do was watch. I kinda felt bad for her in that moment like I could never imagine seeing someone you care about being hurt while all you could do was watch.

After that had happened, everyone was forced to strip and bathe in some kind of orange liquid that smelled funky, it felt embarrassing being in just my underwear, and after that, I got pushed into a room where I changed into my prison uniform. We all were then led to the prison cafeteria where at the entrance we were given some kind of rolled up bag, well more like they were shoved into our arms and not given. I then heard some of the prisoners yelling, and some were even throwing stuff. I thought it was at all of us, but in actuality, it was at Gamora.

"It's like I said. She's got a rep." Rocket says as they all continued walking, "A lot of prisoners here have lost their families to Ronan and his goons. She'll last a day, tops"

"The guards will protect her, right?" Lacy asks.

"They're here to stop us from getting out." I replied. "They don't care what we do to each other inside."

Peter then bumped into a giant blue prisoner. "Check out the new meat." He began to caress Peter's face as he says, "I'm gonna slather you up in Gunavian jelly," he chuckled, "and go to town--" the prisoner was then cut off by Groot sticking his fingers up his nose, which caught the attention of everyone in the room.

That's when Rocket spoke up. "Let’s make something clear." He pointed to the siblings. "These two here are our booty!"

"You wanna get to them? You go through us!"

I smirked, "Or, more accurately, we go through you."

Groot dropped the prisoner to the ground, who groaned as he held his nose in his palms. Rocket, Groot, and I then walked away as if we didn't just threaten an entire room of prisoners.

"We're with them."
