5 - I LIKE KACCHAN!!!

(Broccoli Bitch POV but 3rd person bc WE'RE CHANGING THINGS UP BB)

After Deku finally gets out of his awkward conversation with Uraraka, he heads to his room. In the elevator, his mind is already swirling with the day's events, particularly the ones from detention that he hasn't had much of a chance to think about yet. He forces the thoughts to stay back until he finally makes it to his room. Once at his dorm, he opens the door, quickly shutting the door and walking over to his bed. He drops his backpack to the floor and sits on his bed, letting his brain fill with the thoughts he's been suppressing. All he can see in his mind is a face. The face of an angry, blonde, spiky-haired – wait, why is Kacchan what I can't stop thinking about?!

He knew that he wanted to think about the events that had gone down during his detention, but currently the images flooding his mind weren't even all related to his detention. There were images of Bakugo during class, the rare times he visits the common room in the dorms, him in his hero suit during training, him- Deku shakes his head, trying to shoo away the last image that came to his head, from the locker rooms... Okay. I'm only gonna think about what happened during detention. Nothing else Kacchan-related... yeah...

He switches his mindset back to what he originally planned on letting himself think about. He goes over everything that happened from the moment school ended until they got back to the dorms in his mind. Deku has a tendency to overthink things, and currently he's doing that, trying to see in his memory if there's anything he missed in the moment. As he does that, he thinks about how nice Bakugo was acting towards him compared to his usual self. Although his actions may not have seemed that "nice" from an outside view, he did certain things that were very out of character for him, like teaching Deku how to wipe down the desks. He even engaged in conversation with Deku and played a game with him. This leads Deku to the next thing that happened chronologically.

And then.... Wait, were we about to kiss?!?

As Deku is reminded of the moment right before he was flung out the classroom window, his brain goes into panic-mode. I was gonna kiss Kacchan! I was gonna kiss Kacchan! WHAT?! His face flushes the color of a tomato as he thinks this. I... I was, right? Nahhh, I was just regaining my balance from falling... obviously. His attempt at denial immediately fails and he realizes that in that moment he was indeed about to kiss his childhood-friend-turned-bully-turned-rival-turned. And long-term crush, even though he hadn't been fully aware of that fact. He's kind of stupid for that, honestly. Like, he's had the fattest crush on his "Kacchan" for the longest time, it's a mystery how he didn't fully realize it until this moment. Ah, yes, this moment... Well, this moment is when-

"WHAT THE FREAK?!" He screams out loud (Deku, seriously? "What the freak?)

Holy sigma! I like Kacchan!!! I LIKE him! AAAAAAAAH!!!!! Luckily he switches from screaming out loud to in his head, or else someone definitely would have heard that, which would be pretty embarrassing.

After quite a long moment he finally calms down from that realization. He's finally put the pieces together and can't see how he didn't realize his crush sooner. I don't think it's normal to think of your friends (is he my friend?) as hot. Like, really hot... He subconsciously wipes some drool off his face.

"Hehe, oopsies." He smiles to himself, thinking about his newfound crush. He's had it for a while, but now that he's come to terms with it he's a total simp. More of a simp than he already was, and that's saying something. The big difference, though, is that now he's not ashamed to think these things, like "wow, Kacchan is so hot! He's a total babe!" and "I wonder what it would feel like to kiss Kacchan..." His thoughts are very cringey and very simp-like, but he's fine with that. His only concern now is the fact that his pookie Kacchan does not seem to like him at all...
