Shadow's P.O.V.
It had been a long time since Sonic and the others passed, surprisingly the future isn't all that bad like how the past was with Eggman calling the shots at time. Silver and I rented a 2 bedroom place for the time being since I haven't been ready for more in our relationship but thankfully Silver understood since it had been a year and a half since we started dating. . I was on the balcony while looking at Sonic and I's wedding rings that I made into a necklace around my neck. . . That day still feels real, the day when I got to talk to him again after 11 years. I hope that he's doing alright up there, while I was thinking my ear twitched as I heard taps on the screen door. I turned around to see Silver with our mugs with hot chocolate, I smiled and motioned for him to come over as he did and handed me my mug, It was late and the stars were sparkling. "You okay Shadow? You usually come out here when you're thinking or lost in thought" Silver asked, I turned my head to him nodded as i took a sip of my drink; "Yeah, second one this time heh. . Just thinking of old things like usual. It's really been so long. . ." I looked down at my cup as I sighed, Silver gently rubbed my back and gave me a smile which made me smile back a bit. "It's okay, it's like that sometimes. I realized you've been sleeping more these days which is good" Silver implied, I have been without sleeping pills cause when Sonic died I didn't sleep at all.
