Controversy Between Dentistry And Artistry

<chapter 1>

Ellie's pov+

I woke up around 5 am because my mouth was hurting so bad ,i went downstairs with my blanket and layed on the couch ,tears started to run on my cheeks ,i was in pain but i didn't want mom to find out

Natalie's pov +

I go downstairs to prepare breakfast ,as i walk towards the kitchen i see ellie on the couch ,i go to her and see her curled in a ball with tears on her face ,i had enough of this ,i pick up my phone and call an old friend

(N-natalie / M-marine)

N-hii
M- hey natalie ,anything wrong because im about to have a patient
N- yes ,i tought about what you said and i want you to see ellie because she fell asleep in tears again
M- uh...okay how about you come with her around 15 pm i will no longer have patients so i will be more free to work with her
N- thankyou so much

I say as i hung up the call ,i make my way to the kitchen and prepare the breakfast then i go wake up ellie to eat
"Ellie wake up i made you breakfast"i shake her gently and she opens her eyes
"Im not hungry" she says and looks at me with mad eyes
"You have to eat because we have to go somewhere "
"Where" she groans
"Its a surprise ,now go eat"
She nods and goes to eat

Me and ellie go to the car ,i lock the door then  buckled myself in and we make our way to the clinic ,in just a few minutes we arrive and i park in front of the dental building
"What the hell mom!" She says in a scared tone and jumps in the back seats of the car
"Ellie come on you have to get your teeth cheked and i got you a nice dentist this time"
"Yes you say that all the time!! But there is no way im getting in there " i sigh and get out locking the car

Marine's pov +

I see natalie coming but without ellie
"Hi marine" she sighs
"Where is ellie " i ask
" she is in the car i can't get her out" she says handing me the car keys ,i take them and go towards the car ,i unlock it and notice that she is in the backseats so i open the door
"Hi ellie" i say gently not wanting to scare her
"P-please go away..." she started to cry
"Sweetheart is everything alright ?" She doesn't say anything looking at her lap and fidling  with her fingers
" your mom said that your mouth hurts ,do you want to point for me where" she points to her left side of the mouth
"Can we go in and i will get the pain away from you"
"N-no you will hurt me"
"Im not willing to hurt anyone i just want to help you okay "
" promise you won't hurt me "
" i promise " i say trustful and put my hand forward ,she puts hers in mine and we go inside i lock the car and hand the keys to natalie
"Here, i will call you when we're done " i say and natalie leaves
"W-where is mom going" ellie starts to cry
"Don't worry sweetheart she will come when we are done" me and ellie went in the exam room i sat on my rolling stool
"Come ,we will just talk okay" i say patting the dental chair " she shook her head no ,she started to cry and run at the door but what she didn't knew is that i locked the door ,i get up and go to her and kneel down so i make eye contact
" baby don't worry im not going to hurt you i promise , all i want is to help you" i say puting my hand on her shoulder,still sobbing she sat on the dental chair
"Ellie i want to know why are you scared so i can make you as comfortable  i can"
" i-i......"she sobs again
"I promise not to judge you ,did something happen in the past?" She nods
"Are you comfortable with telling me?"
"Well 2 years ago i went to a dentist i don't think i can remember his name ,he was harsh and didn't even care ,he pulled one of my tooth and it hurt so much"
This kid went trough a lot
"Love im not going to hurt you or do anything bad okay " she nods
"Okay this is a mirror im just going to look around and see what is bothering you"
"Okay...." i adjust the light and get the mirror to her mouth
"Can you open for me please?" I ask her and she opens her mouth but still looking at my arms to see what im doing
"Good girl ,you are very brave" after a few seconds of looking i see 3 cavities 2 must have just started but one was really damaged it needed a root canal ,i get my tools out of her mouth and switch the light off
"Okay ellie ,im going to ask you a few questions but i really need you to be honest" she nods again
"Since when does the tooth hurts?"
"A-a few weeks..."
" a few? Like how many"
" three or f-four" i sigh
"Does only one tooth hurt or more?"
"One im pretty sure "she says and looks at me ,before i realize tears begin to run down on her cheecks
"Ellie?"
"I-im sorry ,p-please i want to go home"
"Oh my... honey its alright its completely alright "i say hugging her ,she couldn't stop crying so i took her on my lap and gently rubbed her back ,eventually she calmed down
"Can we do the cavity another day ...please" she says hugging my arm
"Hun you have 3 cavities how about we do the one that hurts the most today and the other ones next appoiments" she again nods ,i place her on the dental chair  and i go to get the tools plus a needle wich i kind of hide ,i place the tray on its spot and start to massage ellie's cheecks  then i pick up a q-tip with pink jelly
"Im putting this so you won't feel the needle okay"
She slowly nods
"Open big " i gently rub the jelly then get the needle
"N-nooo...." ellie sobs as she jumps up
"Darling ,its okay im going to be gentle " she didn't calm but seemed like she was going to have a panic attack , i place the needle on the tray and pick ellie up on my lap , she was crying so hard ,then i hear the door open
"Hey ,marine ....oh you're with a patien-"
Before he could finish his sentence i spoke
"No no no its alright i kind of needed your help anyway "
He walks towards me and sees ellie crying
"Hey baby girl why are you crying"
"I w-want to g-go home" she says still crying hard
"No ellie no home until that cavity is fixed"
" ugh...i can't wait until carson  comes back home "she says in an irritated tone
"And who is carson?" Liam asks
"The best dentist i've ever had and my brother"
"Carson ramirez?"liam asks again
"Yeah why?"
"He is my mate ,when he will come back in town?"
"Tommorrow "
"Ellie everything alright now ?the faster i get to work the faster we can go ,i've been here all day long "
She just nods and i place her on the dental chair ,equip myself and adjust the light
"Liam can you stay with me " ellie asks
"Sure " he takes anothes stool and get it on the other side ,he takes ellie's hand 
"Okay baby ,open big big " i say and she opens her mouth ,i retract the cheeck and inject the needle ,ellie squeezes her eyes
"Deep breaths love ,deep breaths"  and soon the needle was out
"Good job " liam says and she opens her eyes
"I-is it done already?"
"Yes " i say laughing a litlle
"Now all i got to do is to take the cavity away "
She nods and i get to work
