Controversy Between Dentistry And Artistry

/chapter 4/

Carson's pov>

I get waken up by some sobbing from ellie's room,so i get up and look at the clock its 5 in the morning ,i get up and walk to her room only to find the door slightly cracked ,i take a peek inside and see ellie curled up in a ball on the bathroom's floor crying ,i rush to her and pick her up on my lap
" baby ,what's wrong what happened?" I ask taking her to her bed
"C-c-arson....it h-hurt-s-s "
She says sobbing hard.
"What hurts baby ,what's bothering you ?" I ask and she points to her mouth,gosh the moment i was dreading for
"Its alright baby bug ,we will go tommorrow at my office and we will have a look alright?" She nods and i rush downstairs to get some painkillers then i rush back up withe galss of water and the pill
"Here have this ,it will take the pain away" i handed her the pill wich she swallowed with water
"Can..i come..to s-sleep with you" i nod and pick her up ,turning the bathroom light off,i place her in my bed and cover her with the blanket and i get with her ,she hugs me and i hug her back easily massaging her back for her to sleep

In the morning ------>

I open my eyes and see ellie next to me sleeping curled like a hedgehog ,i get up taking my phone from the night stand and check the time ,its 9 am so i get up to make breakfast

30 minutes later----->

As im done with the breakfast i see ellie coming from upstairs
"Good morning " she says rubbing her eye
"Morning princcess ,everything alright?"
I ask knowing already that her mouth hurts and she nods
"Eat then go change so we can go" and again i get just a nod, she starts to eat her soup and whimpers then tears start to roll on her cheecks,i rush at her and bow down
"Shhh it's alright ,lets go now and we will eat at a nice restaurant when we will be back"
"Okay...." we get up and and put our shoes on and leave to the car ,i turn the car on and drive away
"Carson...can we do it like we used to"she asks basically wishpering
"Of course sweetheart, we will go at your peace ,just like we used to"i say and notice a litlle smile on her face, soon we pull in the parking lot and she tenses ,
"Okay lets go " i say and get out of the car ,to my surprise ellie gets down too without no fuss ,ussually when i used to bring her here it takes a lot of talking and and dragging and tears ,but now it was so easy ,we walked in and i noticed light in tobey's room so me and ellie walk trough the corridor as we lock the front door behind us ,i take a peek in tobey's office and see him very stressed over some paperwork
"Tobey!!!" Ellie yelled and ran to tobey giving him a hug
"Heeey!! Haven't seen you in a while, how is it going?"he says and hugs her back ,we shake hands
"What are you doing on the day off right here don't you have anything else to do?" I ask him and smiling he answers
"Paper work ,since you were off everything around here has been so stressing ,what about you two?"
I look at ellie and she shakes her head getting a grip to tobey
"Im here to see what's bothering ellie so much ,she can't eat a piece of food without crying"
"Well goodluck" he says
"Ellie ...enough hugging lets go "she lets go of tobey and we go to my exam room ,i place my phone on the counter ,
"Oookaaay ,lets get this show on the road" i say and she laughs cutely as she seats down ,i place a bib on her and recline the chair a litlle ,then put a pair of gloves and a mask and adjust the light
"C-carson....?"she says with tears forming in her eyes ,i quickly take the mask off and switch the light off
"Hey hey ,why the tears?" I say wiping them with my ungloved hand
"Can you keep your mask off please.."
"Okay..."i sigh and throw the mask in the garbage
"Alright ,i will just have a look with my mirror can i " she nods and opens her mouth and i quickly slip the mirror in so she doesn't close it ,altough i can't see anything i turn the headlight on again,i take a peek around with my thumb and the mirror and spot the victim tooth
"Ellie you have a cavity" i say still looking around and she suddenly pushes my hands away and runs out of the room

Ellie's pov >

I run out of his office and run to tobey crying ,i open his door and he looks shocked at me as i run to him and hide under the desk ,he gets up and locks the door and closes the light then comes back at me
"What happened?" He asks getting me from under the desk
"Carson wants to do my cavity !" I yell and we hear knocks on the door and tobey goes to unlock it and opens it ,i see a mad carson with his hands crossed
"So are you gonna come and get that cavity fixed or you want to do more of this show?" He asked mad ,i was looking at him with tears streaming down my cheecks ,
"Seriously now you promised me one thing in the car!!"
I yell
"I didn't do anything ! All i did was to tell you you had a cavity !and you just went crazy!!" We started to argue ,tobey left the room not wanting to attempt to do anything
"So now im crazy!!?"
"You are!! Come on ,you know that's not that bad but you still have to be a clown and make things harder than they already are!"
"I wish i had a better brother!!" I yell and quickly cover my mouth proccesing what i just said ,carson was looking at me with a shocked gaze he was speechless
"I-i...."
"Fine ,then go find another brother !! All you do is tell me how much you hate me all day long im really tired of your damn attitude!" I look at him and he leaves , my whole body starts to shiver  mostly my right leg ,i cover my head and cry hard ,i couldn't take it anymore and screamed hard for carson ,he came with tobey  in a rush to me and kneeled down to hold me tight ,his grip was strong and comforting ,i felt  a wipe on my shoulder and then a light small stab ,i tried to turn my head but carson held me so i don't get scared ,last thing i know i dozed off

Carson's pov>

"Now this is adrenaline ,i will never forgive myself for this "
Tobey looks at ellie who was fainted in my arms
"Its not your fault ,she has often those panic attacks? because those are really severe"
"Iv'e never seen her like this before ,i really wonder what changed so much over a year ,she used to be pretty chill about coming to the dentist and now panic attacks?"
"She should see a therapist if those keep coming more frequent"
I look at her and guide her forehead to mine
"I will protect you no matter what" then out of my expectations her hands hug my neck
"C-carson i love y-you...."
"Looks like the relaxer started to wear off since i gave her underdose" tobey says and pats my shoulder then signals me to get ellie back to the examroom ,i take her up and we go to the examroom ,i place her on the dental chair and she tried to get up ,but this time i gently leaned her against the chair
" we will quickly do it then go to eat alright?"
She nods and looks at tobey who is leaned against the wall, he gently smiles at her,i was prepped and adjust quickly the light
"C-carson the mask..." she whimpers,and i quickly throw it away with anger ,and look back at her
"Im so sorry im forgetting about this detail princcess"
"Its alright ....but please tell me what you are doing..."
