8 ~ What the shuck...

~|A two weeks later|~

Cressida and Newt seem unable to be apart longer than five minutes. Sometimes, everyone used to tease them, being in love and thinking they would end up getting mini Cressidas or mini Newts soon, but Cressida and Newt weren't like that. They aren't in love. They do may look like they are in love with each other, but more likely, best friends or siblings love not more than that for sure. Cressida was getting extremely uncomfortable with how everyone teased and joked about her having babies or in love with Newt, and Newt knew deep down, and one time, he couldn't help himself to yell at anyone who dared to say one more word about them being in love or expecting to have a kid someday. Minho and Cressida got closer and became best friends just as much as she is best friend with Newt as well. Minho seemed unable to get away from Cressida, and he could always go straight to her after he came back from the maze with his best friend, Ben. Minho sometimes goes to see Cressida in the early morning to give her a kiss on the forehead before going into the maze with Ben every morning. Cressida knew Minho always stopped by in the mornings, but she wasn't bothered by it as she was always safe by Newt's side, who slept peacefully next to her and, next to him, lay Nigel and she knew she is safe and didn't need to worry about someone sneaking on her and taken her or something but somehow, she can sensed Minho presences everytime he come by to give her a kiss on head or he didn't purposely sneak up behind her everytime she wasn't looking but she just knew his presences more than anyone except Newt, Nigel and Nick who she also gotten warm up eventually but she wasn't entirely warm up to everyone except for Frypan, Alby, Zart, Winston, Jeff, and Clint since she know them closer more than everyone in the Glade. Since Newt knew how uncomfortable Cressida felt and he wasn't only one as she also knew how uncomfortable Newt was in this the 'babies' and 'love' situation and she knew because Newt admitted that he has no interest in girls or maybe more importantly he had no love interest in Cressida and that's why he was uncomfortable with the way everyone teasing and joking them about babies and being in love. Nigel is practically attached to Cressida hip since his arrival. His speaking gotten a little better than before, but he still has stuttering. He admitted he wasn't always nervous, and everyone guessed that his stutters weren't always nervous, and it is just the way he speaks. Cressida always looks down at Nigel as if he was her own little brother even though he is almost the same height as she is, but she is taller than him, she has no idea if she has a siblings or not since she didn't get anymore new dreams or memories in that case as she always get the same thing over and over but sometimes get new bits add to it slowly as days or nights went by but she does feel something for Nigel, siblings love so she'd believe. Nick practically showed a bit of father figure in him to everyone, but mostly toward Cressida as obnoxious as it sounds, but the better term word is, he acting as big brother towards Cressida and of course everyone too. Everyone in the Glade is a family to each other, brothers well, in Cressida's case, sister. Gally well, Gally is still the same as usual, grumpy and all, getting ansty and meanie, but he does never break a rule, and he, of course, couldn't dare hurt Cressida and he isn't like that type of person, he did feel absolutely sorry for her after what happened to her and he is a little protective of her but never show it as he doesn't like to show weakness but he does care about her.

"So today is the day." Zart sat down in front of Cressida with foods on his plate as it was lunchtime, sitting next to Nigel right side, who is in front of Newt.

Nigel frowned as he looked at Zart, "What's h-happening?" He sounded confused.

"It's greenie day, you have been here for a month. You just promoted." Newt smiled at the young boy, wrapping his left arm around Cressida waist as he took a bite of his sandwich.

Nigel seems surprised, "W-wait... it h-has been a month a-already?" He sounded shocked.

Cressida leaned on Newt side and smiled, "Yep. Times files." She sighed quietly, frowned a bit that the fact she still trapped in the Glade with little over forty boys for two months and still haven't found a way out of this dangerous maze with grievers lurking around waiting for their next meals. Newt sensed her change of mood, and his left arm around her waist tightened to comfort her.
