(Scene opens back at the Starbucks cafe)

Everyone sat in a circle, their attention fixed on Daisuke as he prepared to reveal more of the truth.

"I believe you all remember," Daisuke began, his voice steady yet filled with gravity. "In a previous timeline, you fought together—a timeline that has since been erased, giving rise to this one. Each of you had a partner when you were part of the Trion Society, dedicated to combating those who abused their gifts and endangered the innocent."

He paused, allowing the weight of his words to settle as memories of the fated chronicle clash flickered in our minds. "Once, there was a scientist named Doctor Monocle Gray. He lost his family while conducting an experiment on the powers bestowed by the celestial comet. Obsessed with saving them, he sought out individuals whose powers he could steal, amassing these abilities to build a machine designed to draw the comet closer to Earth—far sooner than the millennium it was supposed to take."

The room was silent, each of us hanging onto Daisuke's every word.

"He believed that with the comet's return, he could gain new powers to revive his deceased family," Daisuke continued. "But my grandfather knew that this experiment would endanger all of humanity. Our society members fought to stop him, but we were too late. When Monocle Gray activated the machine, it failed to achieve the outcome he desired. Instead, it unleashed a catastrophic wave that wiped out the universe and rewrote this reality we live in today."

Daisuke paused again, allowing the memories of his past explanation to resurface in our minds. "I, too, had a partner—Luna Grace. She had the power to empower life forms with her energy manipulation, allowing plants to grow at an extraordinary rate and healing the ill. When I woke up in this timeline, I could remember my previous life well, thanks to my powers of telepathy and my connection as the grandson of the first person bestowed with powers by the comet."

His voice wavered slightly, the memories clearly painful to recall. "I spent years searching for Luna, hoping she would reawaken her powers and remember me. I finally found her... but it was too late. An evil entity had taken over her body, corrupting her powers and turning them towards darkness. This entity now had the ability to corrupt life forms rather than empower them. I tried to fight her, but I was completely defeated, as most of my powers were spent remembering the previous timeline that was erased."

A heavy silence fell over the group as we absorbed the implications of what Daisuke was saying.

"I learned that this evil entity was born when the timeline was rewritten, likely connected to the impending crisis. It seeks to end this world as it did the previous one. I then searched for others who had reawakened their powers, and that search led me to you—the six that I have found."

Stephanie nodded slowly, recalling the events of the clash. "After that, you had us fight each other to remember one another and master our skills."

Daisuke acknowledged her statement with a nod before Simon asked the burning question on all our minds. "You said that the fated chronicle clash has something to do with all of this, Daisuke. What is it?"

Daisuke took a deep breath, bracing himself before he answered. "The fated chronicle clash was more than just a means for you to recover your memories and powers; it was also a way to restore mine."

We all exchanged surprised glances as he continued, "As you fought in the space I constructed, residues of chronicle particles were left behind on the fighting stage. These particles, a byproduct of your powers, remained in the surroundings. After the clash ended, I intended to use these particles to restore the portion of my powers that I had lost, to ensure I could fight alongside you all when the crisis came."
