(Scene opens with a dream sequence)

Amy stood cornered in a classroom, her heart racing as a group of girls from her class closed in on her. She had uncovered their cheating on an important end-of-semester exam and had reported it to the teacher. The girls found out, and for days they made her life a living nightmare, bullying her relentlessly. Tears welled up in her eyes as they taunted her, shoving her into the corner. It wasn't until a teacher happened upon the scene that the truth came to light. The bullying stopped, but the memory lingered. Afterward, our father decided to enroll her in martial arts lessons, hoping she could learn to defend herself.

(Scene transitions to Amy waking up)

Amy jolted awake, her breath catching as the remnants of the nightmare clung to her. She stared at the ceiling, her hand slowly rising into the air. She clenched it into a fist, forcing herself to push the past away and focus on the present.

In my own room, I sat on the edge of my bed, the message on my fated chronicle card glowing softly: Fated Chronicle of Resilience VS Destined Chronicle of Illumination. I felt a surge of determination course through me, electricity crackling faintly around my hands. The time had come at last—our fight of destiny was imminent.

(Scene transitions to the dojo house)

The dojo was already buzzing with anticipation. Most of our team—Simon, Queenie, Spike, and Stephanie—had arrived and were gathered in the spectator area. Stephanie, having just returned from an investigation, scanned the crowd before making her way toward Howard, Emily, and Catherine. The trio sat apart from the other Destined Chronicles, the air around them tense and uncertain.

"Hey, guys," Stephanie called as she approached, her tone serious.

"Stephanie? What's up?" Catherine asked, raising an eyebrow as Stephanie stopped in front of them.

"I need your help with something I'm looking into. Can you tell me anything about what it felt like being under Lilith's mental pollution curse? What was going through your mind then?" Stephanie's urgency was evident in her voice.

Catherine exchanged uneasy glances with Howard and Emily before responding, "Are you... interrogating us?"

"No, nothing like that. I just need to understand as much as I can about Lilith and what she put you through. Please," Stephanie pleaded, her sincerity clear.

Howard was the first to speak up, his expression thoughtful. "During that time... all I could think about was beating Simon, surpassing him. My jealousy of him was amplified, fueling my desire to gain more power in the showdown."

Emily nodded, adding her experience. "It was like I couldn't control myself. My negative thoughts and emotions were in overdrive. I tried using my psychic powers to calm my mind, but it only seemed to make things worse."

All eyes turned to Catherine, who hesitated before answering. "I didn't feel exactly the same as you guys. Maybe my negative feelings toward Jessica weren't as intense, so I could still hold onto some control."

She paused, reflecting. "Then again... those negative thoughts and feelings were already inside us. We might have been suppressing them before, but Lilith's curse brought them to the surface."

Howard nodded in agreement, the weight of his words hanging in the air. "Yeah, it was like those thoughts were always there, just waiting to be unleashed."

Stephanie took a deep breath, absorbing the information. "Thank you, all of you. This helps more than you know."

The three nodded, offering her a small smile. "Good luck with your investigation," Howard said. "And let us know if you find anything out."
