(Scene opens with a flashback)

In the timeline that was erased, Doctor Monocle Gray was a brilliant yet relentless scientist, driven by an obsession to study the firebolt comet and the mysterious powers it bestowed upon the world. When Elder Trion—Daisuke and Charlie's grandfather—was born at sunset on the day the comet appeared, he was among the first to receive the comet's gift. Over time, these abilities spread across the globe, touching many lives.

Doctor Gray, gifted with a unique ability, could harness and absorb the powers of other individuals, wielding them as his own. This talent fueled his insatiable thirst for knowledge and power, leading him to embark on increasingly dangerous experiments. His ultimate ambition was to create a source of infinite energy—one that would power the world forever. Though he was well aware of the catastrophic risks involved, he pressed on, obsessed with the potential of his discovery.

One fateful day, as Doctor Gray was conducting his most perilous experiment, his family paid him a visit—his beloved wife, daughter, and two sons. In the midst of channeling his immense powers into a machine designed to unlock this infinite energy, something went horribly wrong. The delicate balance of energy slipped from his control, and a massive explosion ripped through his lab.

As the smoke cleared, Doctor Gray found himself surrounded by devastation. His heart sank as he cradled the lifeless bodies of his wife and children in his arms, believing them to be gone forever. Grief consumed him—but he was wrong. They were not truly lost.

The blast had done more than simply harm his family. It had unleashed a dark and twisted power, one that expelled his daughter's soul from her body, casting it into the vast expanse of space. Her consciousness floated through the void, untethered, until it was awakened in the current timeline—the one in which we now live.

But this was not the same girl. The experiment had corrupted her essence, granting her a dark and terrible form of godhood. She was no longer the innocent child Doctor Gray had once loved—she had become something far more malevolent. Her new powers allowed her to possess other individuals, using them as vessels for her own sinister will. She was none other than... Lilith.

(Flashback ends, and the scene transitions back to the present, where Chapter 14 left off.)

Jake and Lilith raised their flag cards, signaling the start of their battle. Lilith’s flag bore a leafless tree with a black phoenix soaring above it, crowned by a star—symbolizing the full extent of her possession of Jessica, Future Amy, and Luna’s powers.

The battle commenced with Lilith making the first move. Using Future Amy’s teleportation abilities, she appeared directly in front of Jake, catching him off guard. In a swift motion, she manifested dual swords from her hands, wielding Jessica’s masterful swordsmanship. The blades struck Jake, sending him staggering back. The pain from the attack was intense, unlike the simulations in the Destined Chronicle Showdown—this pain was all too real.

Lilith’s laughter echoed through the cave. "This fight isn’t just a game, boy. You’ll feel real pain and damage. It’s only a matter of time before your fragile human body gives in," she sneered. The rest of the Destined Chronicles watched from the spectator area, worry etched across their faces. But Jake wasn’t fazed. Despite the blow, he got to his feet, his expression determined.

Drawing on his powers, Jake unleashed a powerful blast of sound waves from his hands, halting Lilith’s advance. Without hesitation, he tossed his speaker devices towards her. The speakers emitted a sound wave that momentarily suppressed Lilith’s powers, giving Jake a crucial opening.

Capitalizing on the moment, Jake grabbed his nunchucks from the weapon compartments embedded in the cave’s fighting stage. His nunchucks spun with lightning speed, their rhythmic movements creating a musical cadence. He charged at Lilith, his attacks flowing in perfect sync with the rhythm he was creating.
