(The scene opened where the last chapter left off)

Lilith's dark phoenix form was towering above me. My body was worn down, and my stamina depleting after her relentless attacks. I could feel the weight of her dark energy pressing down, and my friends in the spectator area looked at me with worry, their expressions heavy with what was coming next.

"You're done for good this time, SEAN TEY! Lead the world to its end! Ultimate Chronicle Technique: World Life Drain!" Lilith declared, her voice echoing through the arena as she unleashed the same dark move that had taken down Jake. I gripped my sword tighter than ever, bracing myself for the worst.

Lilith's demonic phoenix aura expanded, spreading its dark wings wide as a black hole began to form in its center. The pull was immediate, drawing me in with a force that threatened to rip me apart. I jammed my sword into the ground, standing as firm as I could against the overwhelming suction.

"Resistance is futile! This is over!" Lilith roared, her black hole growing stronger with every passing second. My flag lights began to flicker and fade as they were slowly drawn into the void. It seemed like her victory was inevitable. I closed my eyes, feeling the edge of defeat claw at me—but then, a thought came to me. I can't let it end here. Not until I can hold Jessica's warm hand again.

In response to that thought, a miracle occurred.

"SOUL SAVER LIGHT ENERGIZE! ILLUSION ILLUMINATION! PROTECTOR OF BONDS!" three voices cried out in unison.

I opened my eyes to see three auras—Charlie, and both Amys (from the present and the future)—standing before me, their powers shielding me from Lilith's ultimate move. They stood firm, channeling their energy into a brilliant barrier that pushed back against the black hole's pull.

"This is getting annoying!" Lilith hissed, her black hole starting to lose its power. The dark vortex faltered, then faded completely. On addition, present Amy's aura projection had also relit my flag lights that was lost to the black hole

The auras of both Amys and Charlie turned toward me, their faces soft with encouraging smiles before dissolving into the air. "Thanks, guys. Because of you, I can keep fighting!" I called out in gratitude, knowing they had saved me from certain defeat.

Charlie, watching from the spectator area, grinned. "Sure thing, mate! My buddy's not going down on my watch!"

But Lilith only smirked, her confidence unshaken. "Very well, then. I'll seal that bond of yours once and for all." With a wicked gleam in her eye, she began casting the same spell she had used on Jake—the one that had destroyed his teammates' aura projections and severed his connection to their power.

The spell struck me dead-on, and immediately I felt the weight of it. My bond with my friends powers was gone. I couldn't feel their powers or their auras anymore. It was as if a door had slammed shut between us.

"Now that your connection to their powers is severed, there is nothing left to save you. In other words, my next attack will finish you for good," Lilith sneered. Charlie, from the sidelines, refused to accept it. "Even without our powers, Sean will win for sure!" he called out.

"Winning against me is impossible—even if you had a million years to try!" Lilith shot back. "Now, let's end this!"

With a menacing laugh, Lilith summoned a massive flock of dark aura crows, even larger than before. They swarmed toward me, shadows in the shape of wings and talons, each one deadly in its intent.

I knew I had to act fast. Raising my blade with precision, I channeled everything into my next move. "Firebolt Comet Dragon, forms 5 and 12! Static Firewall, Lightning Storm!" I shouted, summoning a powerful firewall imbued with static lightning. The barrier roared to life, deflecting the dark aura crows as lightning cracked through the air, burning and stunning them in a display of electrifying might. My confidence surged as the crows disintegrated, leaving nothing but fading shadows in their wake.
