The first light of the sun entered the room through the gap in the curtains. The soft chirping of birds outside was the only sound interrupting the quiet serenity of the early morning. He stirred in his sleep as the sun's rays fell on his face.

Zarar opened his eyes slowly but immediately closed them due to the bright light shining on his face. After a moment, he looked to his left side, which was empty. He frowned and glanced around the room.

The first thought that crossed his mind was, "Where is my Mah?" His heart skipped a beat. He immediately sat up in bed, and as he did, his mobile phone fell onto the bed. He remembered that he had fallen asleep while watching her enchanting video, which had captivated his senses.

Zarar glanced at the screen, where the video Mahenoor had sent was still playing.

It was then that his mind recalled everything, causing him to sigh helplessly. Mahenoor had gone to her parents' home for two to three days.

He rubbed his temples in frustration.

"Mah, please jaldi aajao yaar. It's really painful not to see you beside me when I wake up," he mumbled while looking at the phone screen, where her face was shining brightly.

He thought about calling her but hesitated when he saw the clock, which showed 6:00 AM. He paused, realizing that she must be reciting the Quran at this hour.

He stood up from the bed and headed toward the bathroom. After a few minutes, he came out wearing his jogging attire and left the house for a jog.

Mahenoor gently closed the Quran Pa'ak and placed it back on the shelf. She came away with a satisfied smile, her heart content after praying and reciting the Quran.

She walked to the couch after grabbing her phone from the center table. She thought about calling Zarar but shook off the thought and opened WhatsApp instead.

She opened Zarar's chat and saw that he was offline. Shrugging her shoulders, she started typing something with a small smile on her lips.

After that, she went downstairs to spend some quality time with her parents. This was the reason she had come here—to enjoy the thing she missed the most. Although her in-laws never made her feel like a daughter-in-law, always treating her as their own child, no one could replace her actual parents.

"Shadab, go and see if Mahenoor is awake yet," was the first thing she heard as she descended the stairs. It was her mother's gentle voice.

Mahenoor smiled and happily approached them.
