Jac was supposed to be inside laughing and venting with Athena and Hen but instead she was leaning up against a brick wall scanning her surroundings a habit she had been forced to pick up after years on the force on the phone listening to Eddie Diaz, her best friend from the army, panic about how his son Chris broke his glasses and he didn't know his prescription.

"Okay okay Mr. dad of the year just have him get a new prescription dumbass it's standard to update it every two to five years" Jac chuckled at her friends expense as she finally lowered her gaze to ground.

"And how exactly do you even know this" Eddie questions. Even though they are on call Jac knows Eddie well enough to know that he is currently doing his signature sarcastic head shake that she had gotten to learn all to well in the four years she served with him.

"S.M.M single mom magic don't worry you'll get the hang of it Edmundo" Jac teases before she continues. " Anyway how is the fire academy? You know the better academy was right there you know. Did you got the link I sent you the enroll forms?" Jac questions still a little but hurt that he decided to be a firefighter instead of a police officer.

"Oh be quite at least this way I won't be getting shot at during a my job Copper" Eddie sighs through the phone. "Make sure you knock on wood Tod don't want to jinx anything do we" Jac teased her best friend.

Jac and Eddie had multiple sets of nicknames for each other but the one they used the most were Copper and Tod after the Fox and the Hound. They had gotten the names by their fellow soldiers because they were inseparable from the start and they stayed that way. Eddie introduced Jac and Will to each other and Jac was made Christopher's god mother. They talked to each other about everything the struggle of adapting back to life after leaving the army. How difficult it is to be a single parent sometimes. And Eddie was one of the two people Jac could lean on after Will died.

When Jac finally got back inside after filling in Eddie about Buck, who by the  way had been avoiding her texts leading her to be very close to kicking him in the balls the next time she sees him. She glanced around the restaurant looking for Hen and Athena when she got to them she had just caught the end of Hen's rant about Bobby.

"I'm sorry I'm late I was on the phone with friend" Jac explained as she took a seat in the middle of the two woman she had already heard the rant from hen the minute she had picked up the phone after her shift yesterday. "Oh your fine baby" Athena reassured the girl before turning her attention to the bald woman and continuing. "So what'd you mean by 'not yet'" Athena asked and gave a mother like stare to the woman before continuing her statement.  "Before, when I asked if there was trouble at home, you said 'not yet.'" At this information Jac snaps her head look at Hen also now wanting to know want she meant by this. If there was one thing about the Richardson woman she loved gossip and shit like that it was a daily occurrence for at the dinner table for there to be a gossip sesh that consisted of high school, work, and even day-care drama.
