Their father is still alive, and they spend quality time together every day. Their moments together feel so strong. In my home, my father's absence makes everything feel empty."

Kenny examined his notes, as if searching for the right words to respond to Alea's feelings. "Alya's family life does seem very different from yours," Kenny said. "Maybe there's something deeper than just a difference in family dynamics. Perhaps it's about how our experiences shape who we are and how our connections with others influence our perceptions."

Alea looked at Kenny with curiosity. "What do you mean?"
