As I head out of Javon's house, I can't help but chuckle to myself. I start walking down the street, the cool evening air brushing against my skin. The neighbourhood is quiet, with only the soft rustle of leaves and the distant hum of traffic in the background.

My mind keeps drifting back to the kiss. It was soft and sweet, I couldn't help but smile every time I thought about it. Still, with my parents back in town, I had to shift gears and get home before they suspected anything.

When I finally reach my house, I see my parents unloading their suitcases from the car. My mom waves, looking tired but happy to be home.

"Hey, honey! There you are," she says with a warm smile. "

"How was Spain?" I ask walking up to her to help with the bags

My dad grins as he pulls out a small wrapped box from one of the bags. "Fantastic! And we got you a little something."

I take the box from him, curiosity lighting up my face. Inside is a delicate silver bracelet, intricate and beautiful, with tiny charms shaped like stars and moons. It's simple but perfect.

"Wow, thanks! I love it!" I say, hugging them both.

we head inside, but even in the comfort of home, my thoughts keep drifting back to Javon.

Later that night, while lying in bed, I get a text from Javon:

Texts

Javon

I bribed Dealo for now but he said next time no promises, hope your parents weren't mad

I laugh softly before responding.

Lina

Thanks for handling him. And no worries everything's good I'll see you tomorrow

Javon

I'll be thinking about you until then ma ;)

My cheeks flush at his teasing, and I roll my eyes, smiling.

Lina

Good night, Javom

Javon

Good night, Lina

I turn off my phone, clutching the bracelet around my wrist, and for the first time in a while, I fall asleep with a smile on my face.

I wake up to my stupid alarm which I turn off immediately and then rummage through my closet to find a good outfit.

My dad dropped me at school and as soon as I walked in I saw someone leaning on my locker then he turned to look at me and it was Jaden
