ONE:
He stared down at his daughter, who was gripping his leg tightly, this wasn't the first time.
'Albus, she's not going' Scorpius passed at his husband who was also trying to persuade their daughter to go into the shop. They were outside The Magical Menagerie, in Diagon Alley, but a Blast-Ended Skrewt had scared her.'Come on Kit, it's behind a cage it can't get to you' Albus soothed, with no luck.
'Me no, no, like it' She stomped her foot, her brown hair covered her face as she did. 'I don't, i-it scary'. Although she was adopted, she looked remarkably like Albus, her brown hair almost the same dark shade if not identical.
Her eyes were nearly the same as well just a lighter shade of chestnut.'I know but sometimes you have to face your fears' Scorpius tried to detach his daughter from his leg, but she was having none of it.
'NO! I don't want to' Kit screamed, clinging tighter. Scorpius passed the same look at Albus as he'd done a million times already, 'what do we do? '. He mouthed in reply 'I don't know, we could take her back and try tomorrow? '. Scorpius nodded thinking it was the safer option.'Kit? ' Albus bent down to reach his daughters level.
'Yes Dada? ' She asked sniffing.
'Would it be better if we try again tomorrow, when your in a better state? '
'I - yes'
'Good' he got up, taking her small hand. 'She's only 3 so why push her?' Albus thought. She'd finally let go of Scorpius' leg, letting him move again, so he moved behind them both as they walked past the shop in the same direction they'd just been in because they were going home.
