Akari's POV

I was sitting next to Aizawa with my mom across from us. We were having a nice dinner. Aizawa and my mom were having nice conversations. I held his hand underneath the table starting to get tired again.

After dinner i hugged my mom and told her goodnight and that i love her. On our way home I fell asleep leaning on Aizawa's shoulder while he drove.

Time Skip

I woke up to Aizawa shaking me awake. I looked around and saw we were home now and he changed me into pjs.

"Time for the first day of school for the students." He said. I sat up and stretched.

"Do you remember which class i teach?" I asked.

"You are 1-A's second homeroom teacher." Aizawa said going into the bathroom.

"Right." I said getting up. I pulled out my hero costume and got changed. I put my mask around my neck and waited for him.

Aizawa came out in his hero costume. I gave him a kiss and left for the school putting my mask up.

I had to catch a small bad guy on the way to school so i was a little late but i still had a good chunk of my energy so i wasn't upset about it.

I walked into the classroom for 1-A and noticed them talking to each other. I sat down next to the podium waiting for Aizawa and class to start.

"It's Energizer!" I heard and groaned looking up at the students.

"Sup." I said with no energy behind it.

"If you're just here to make friends then you can pack up your stuff now." Aizawa said from the hallway. I looked over at Izuku, some girl, and the door. "Welcome to UA's hero course." He said and drank a juice before getting out of his sleeping bag. I stood up and leaned against the podium.

"It took 8 seconds for yall to shut up." I said looking at everyone. "That's not going to work. Time is precious especially when it comes to saving lives."

"Rational students would understand that." Aizawa said. I walked over to him and stood next to him crossing my arms. "Hello. I'm Shota Aizawa. Your teacher."

"And I'm Akari Midoriya. Your other teacher." I said. Aizawa looked at me shocked for a second.

"MIDORIYA?" Everyone who knew Izuku's name asked.

"Yes now let's get back on track." I said.

"Let's get to it. Put these on and meet us outside." Aizawa said holding up one of the gym outfits. I just started to walk outside. Me and Aizawa waited for the kids outside.

"Why did you tell them your name?" Aizawa asked me to. "You never have before."

"I wanted to." I shrugged. "Does it really matter?" I asked him.

"Guess not." Aizawa answered before the kids joined us.

"A quirk assessment test?" The kids asked after we told them what we were doing.

"But orientation!" Ochaco said. "We're gonna miss it."

"If you really want to make the big leagues you cant waste time on pointless ceremonies." Aizawa said.

"Here at UA we aren't tethered to traditions." I explained.

"That means we get to run our class however we see fit." Aizawa said. I looked over at him nodding.

"You've been taking standardized tests most of your lives." I said.

"But you never got to use your quirks in physical exams before." Aizawa said. "The country is still trying to pretend we're all created equal by not letting those with the most power excel."

"It's not rational." I said looking back at the students. "One day the ministry of education will learn."

"Bakugo. You managed to get the most points on the entrance exam. What was your farthest distance throw with the softball when you were in junior high?" Aizawa asked him.

"67 meters i think." Bakugo answered.

"Try doing it with your quirk." I said to him. "Anything goes. Just stay in the circle." I told him once he went to one of the softball throwing circles.

"Go on. You're wasting our time." Aizawa said when Bakugo was just staring at us.

"Alright then. You asked for it." Bakugo said. I crossed my arms again and watched Bakugo.

Bakugo threw the ball using an explosion as an accelerator.

"All of you need to know your maximum capabilities." Aizawa told the students.

"It's the most rational way of figuring out your potential as a pro hero." I said as Aizawa showed the kids how far Bakugo threw it. Everyone seemed shocked at Bakugo's score.

"Woah. 705 meters. Are you kidding me?" kaminari asked.

"I wanna go! That looks like fun!" Mina said.

"This is what I'm talking about!" Sero said. "Using our quirks as much as we want!"

"So this looks fun huh?" Aizawa asked. I took a step away from him. "You have three years here to become a hero. You think its all going to be games and playtime? Idiots." He started smiling when he called them that and i sighed. I crossed my arms and sat by the wall knowing that i had no say in anything now. "Today you'll compete in 8 physical tests to gauge your potential. Whoever comes in last has none and will be expelled immediately." He said.

To be perfectly honest the kids shocked expressions amused me even though i didn't agree with Aizawa. I never do when it comes to expelling kids. Unless it's necessary.

"Like i said. We get to decide how this class runs. Understand? If that's a problem you can head home right now." Aizawa said.

'We get to decide my ass.' I thought annoyed at the side lines. I looked at each of the kids thinking about what their powers are and how they could possibly use them. I had a feeling i'd end up having to use my quirk on Bakugo.

I yawned just thinking about it. I hate how much energy my quirk uses. It really sucks.

"You can't send one of us home! I mean we just got here. And even if it wasn;t the first day that isnt fair!" Ochaco said.

"Oh and you think natural disasters are?" Aizawa asked making me sigh. "Or power hungry villains? Hm? Or catastrophic accidents that wipe out whole cities? No. The world is full of unfairness. It's a hero's job to try and combat that unfairness. If you wanna be a pro you're gonna have to push yourself to the brink. For the next three years UA will throw one terrible hardship after another." he said.

"So go beyond." I said standing up.

"Plus ultra style." We said at the same time.

"Show us that it's no mistake that you are here." I said to the kids.
