Chapter 2: Interaction

College students at the school of high schoolers? Really, huh?

Nauna akong umiwas ng tingin. Tinakpan ko ang dalawa kong tainga nang sumigaw si Rin.

"Seprein Lopezān! Ahhh!" tili ng kaibigan ko dahilan para bumaling sakaniya ang tingin ng lalaki. Kumaway ito at kumindat sakaniya kasabay ng pagyugyog ng babae sa balikat ko.

Kinagat ko ang pang-ibabang labi at yumuko. Gosh, what's wrong with this girl? Parehong-pareho talaga kami. Pero at least patago ako kapag kinikilig! Eh siya?! Anak ng tipaklong, ang confident! Iniangat ko ng bahagya ang aking ulo, he's still staring at me! Ako na ang nahiya sa babaeng kasama ko.

"Arklow Franio! The girl beside me has a crush on you! She's my best friend!"

Namilog ang mata ko at ramdam ang nasusunog na mukha. I grabbed her arm and ran outward the cafe.

"What was that, Rin?" I asked bothered. Hindi ako mapakali habang pabalik-balik na naglalakad, kagat ang aking kuko.

She held my my shoulder and faced to her. Naramdaman kong tumubig ang mga mata ko.

"H-hey, why are you crying?" lumambot ang mukha nito.

This was really my problem, being a soft hearted person. Why am I crying to such a small thing? I hate it.

"Rin, w-what if l-layuan niya ako? I-iwasan niya ako?" paputol-putol kong tanong at taas baba ang aking mga balikat.

I know I am being dramatic but my thoughts aren't just letting me to ignore what is it talking to me.

"You're really an overthinking girl." she wiped my tears using her hand. "But what if?"

Hinampas ko siya sa balikat at inginuso ang labi. Tumigil na din sa pagtulo ng luha ang nga mata ko.

"No, he willn't going to do that." kita ang pagseseryoso ng postura ni Rin sa pagsasalita niya. "I am sure that it will enlighten his thought a bit. In the five years you've like him back then, malamang na sumagi din sa isip niya kung may gusto ka pa ba sakaniya. At least natulungan ko siya."

I remembered back then that Ark and I were having a lot of indirect interactions. And for me, it is impossible that all of that was only a coincidence. I'm not going to believe it.

Rin held my hand and we both wait for our ride. Sabay na dumating ang aming sundo. Sa akin ay si kuya at sakaniya naman ay ang kanilang driver.

"Manang, wala pa po ba sina mama?" I asked politely to our inmate.

"Wala pa, hija. Inumin mo muna itong ginawa kong inumin." saad niya at iniabot sa akin ang isang baso ng tsaa.

I nod and smiled to her. "Thank you po."

Umakyat ako ng kuwarto para magbihis. I looked at my clock, 4:56 p.m.

After I washed my face, I go to my table to do my assignments and after then, I did my daily journal.

"Elle?" I heard my brother knocked on the door. I stretched my arm and came to my door to open it.

"Yes?" I arched my brow as I smiled.

"Wanna come?" he asked.

"And where?" for the nth time, I raised my brow.

"Convenience store or 7/11."

"Okie!" I answered immediately. I'm about to close the door when I realized something. "Joke!" pahabol ko at pekeng tumawa.

"Why?" nangunot ang noo nito.
