Jungkook stared at Taehyung for a moment, puzzled. “Why are you running like this, Taehyung?” he asked, walking closer to him.
“Don’t come to me with another problem, Jeon. I’m not interested,” Taehyung snapped back, clearly irritated.
“Since morning, you’ve been running non-stop. I need to know if you’ve gone mad or something.”
“Get lost!” Taehyung shouted.
“Where to? This is my property,” Jungkook replied with a casual shrug.
“Oh, then stay here,” Taehyung muttered as he ran off in the other direction.
“Poor guy, he’s really lost it,” Jungkook chuckled to himself before heading towards his car.
“Do you really have to see him every day?” Jimin asked with a laugh as Jungkook approached.
“No, I was just curious why he’s been running like that since yesterday. But let’s go, you’ve got practice matches.”
“Yeah,” Jimin smiled, getting into the car with Jungkook, and they drove away.
**************
a group of people clapped their hands in excitement. “Taehyung lost 3 kg in just one day!”
“Great job, Tae. You’ll reach your goal by tomorrow,” the coach encouraged him.
“Tae, your mom mentioned you only had one meal today,” Bogum’s wife said, her voice filled with concern.
“I’m fine, Noona,” Taehyung reassured her.
“But you’ll feel exhausted tomorrow,” the café owner added, as Bogum prepared a healthy salad for him.
“No, I’ll gain the weight back. I told you, I’m alright. I have enough strength for tomorrow,” Taehyung said with a confident smile, trying to reassure everyone.
************
“Mom, I’m going,” Tae said to his mother.
“Best of luck, my child,” she replied, kissing his forehead.
“Thanks… But you should come with me,” he pouted.
“I have a lot of work. There’s some party or event, and I need to prepare the food. You go ahead, dear.” Taehyung hugged his mother tightly before walking outside, where Bogum was waiting for him.
**********
Taehyung arrived at the school with Bogum, where others were already waiting for him.
“Is the café closed today?” he asked.
“No, but I need to watch my Tae getting selected for the national team,” the owner replied with a smile.
“There are hundreds of people here, not just me. Only 21 will make it to the national team,” someone remarked.
“And one of them must be our Taehyung!” another friend chimed in.
"We need to register our names. Let's go. You all head to the gallery," Bogum said, before walking with Taehyung toward the registration camp.
Taehyung looked around, noticing many people from different regions, all wearing expensive shoes and jerseys. He glanced down at himself.
“Tae, sign here,” Bogum instructed, handing him a pen. Just then, they heard loud cheers. Everyone turned to see Namjoon and Seokjin arriving.
