Recap

~"Care to share with the class what we are so dearly missing here?"

The small group stared at Nedzu, only Aizawa and the rodent himself keeping their eyes on the screen. Nedzu grinned wider.

"Why, little White-kun over there has merely performed a small stroke of genius!"~

Aizawa shifted his focus to his superior along with the rest of the group- except for Kayama, better known as Pro Hero Midnight, who was squinting at the screen as if it had personally wronged her. The other four stayed silent, Toshinori, the smaller, more sickly blonde and true figure of the nation-wide idol and No. 1 Pro Hero on all charts, All Might, fidgeted nervously at the tension between the two spearheading the conversation. Both men(?) were figures that he was -for good reason, mind you- rather afraid of.

Sekijiro, or Pro Hero Vlad King, on the other hand, looked absolutely done with the conversation- the only thing keeping his steadily waning attention being morbid curiosity over whatever the unlucky examinee had pulled that was smart enough to warrant interest from someone who, most likely was the most intelligent being currently alive.

Yamada, who had honestly not been paying attention to the first half of the going-ons in the room and had instead been editing his next MV release as Pro Hero Present Mic, was both confused and excited. For one, his husband rarely ever got so interested in this exam- or at least not while they had been teaching together at UA, but there was also some rather obvious tautness in the air- something that, when involving Principal Nedzu, was never a good thing.

Nedzu hummed before actually explaining, pointing out the damage that had occurred around the two waiting examinees- which was odd in and of itself, examinees never simply waited.

"Earlier, White-kun led examinees No. 064 and 078 into the middle of the grounds, the mock-city square. From there, he managed to

not only gain the needed information on their quirks, he paid attention to their fighting styles- something that far too often is overlooked out of preference to dramatics and supernatural strengths."

Nedzu shot a glance towards an oblivious Toshinori.

"Swiftly coming up with a plan, he effectively informed his impromptu teammates of said plan in a quick and orderly manner, in an easily understandable form due to his lack of knowledge as regards to their intelligence. Smoothly securing his position as the unnamed 'leader' of the group, White-kun played to what he knew of the two and motivated them into motion with a route of action that logically, would affix each of them with an ample amount of both Villain and Rescue Points."

Seeing as Aizawa didn't respond immediately, instead choosing to observe the going-ons of the grounds, Toshinori piped up with a question of his own as he turned to squint at the screen, or more precisely, the decorated male seemingly waiting at the edge of the camera's range.

"Aren't Rescue Points not something shared with the public?"

The others in the room perked up, obviously having been wondering the same. Nedzu however, simply smiled in that unnerving way of his and shifted to face the raggedy brunette yet to respond, tilting his awkwardly to the side in an odd imitation of human questioning.

"Ah, care to educate, Aizawa-kun?"

Sekijirou rolled his eyes before turning away and Yamada sighed, sharing a glance with Kayama as Toshinori viewed the situation with utter oblivion. Aizawa ignored them. Without acknowledging the No. 1 Hero, Aizawa responded.

"For what seems to be the first time ever, a student actually put some thought into the rules of the exam. Black-kun achieved the only logical conclusion- that given this is an exam for a Hero school where people learn to save people, there would be some sort of point system for actual heroics, and not just beating up chunks of metal."

The sentence was punctuated by a pointed glance, the brunette finally glancing at the blonde who had asked the question. Toshinori spluttered, as the other heroes tried not to laugh, looking away with wide eyes and pursed lips. The somewhat friendly atmosphere lasted for a short while, until the gruff voice of Sekijirou commented once again, on the screens.

"Hey- what is that kid doing?"

The Blood Hero drew attention towards the screen that showed the zone to the right of the faux City Square where a muscular man with shocking crimson hair and seemingly sharp skin sprinted towards the two examinees that had previously captivated the attention of the room. At first, it wasn't quite clear why Vlad had sounded oddly strained, but then the man ran far enough into the camera threshold, and his reasoning became abundantly clear. The redhead was being followed by at least twenty robots.

There didn't seem to be any discrimination around the points that each robot would allot, the man must have literally just made a few rounds through different parts of the city -showcasing exceptional stamina- and acted as bait to lure an obnoxious amount of points to a singular area.

Nedzu quickly moved to the remote that controlled the viewing screens, momentarily fiddling until the screen borders merged- blowing the two most important screens in the moment took up at least half of the camera wall, the rest of the zoned having been demoted to smallish squares around the edges. Once the screens were larger, the plan was obvious. The redhead was swiftly leading the following stampede into the City Square, and as he entered the area that Ashido and Black had marked off, he began bumping into the surrounding electric poles. At first, the Heroes were confused, after all, why did the man- who had been making his way through the faux City with relative ease only moments prior, suddenly have such a hard time running straight?

The question was answered when all of the struck poles began to teeter, each pole bending awkwardly from the same spot low on the foundation- exactly where the two examinees had meddled earlier.

The robots followed the redhead, ramming into the electricity line with considerably more force, not only damaging themselves and the others, but acting as a finishing blow to the large pieces of metal. Luckily, Nedzu had the foresight to refuse the suggested additive of actual power lines with volatile currents running through them -much to the dismay of Powerloader, who have adamantly advocated for the accessory- and the wires only caught on the robots as the poles fell, not creating an electric trap that might kill any examinee that would be stupid enough to touch it. The rodent really did not want to have to deal with the paperwork that would come from such an incident.

Instead, the faux lines effectively trapped all but three of the rampaging machines, and created the perfect point mine for the three odd teammates.

Hello dear readers! How are you? I'm shit, thanks for asking. Anyways, the story is finally going in a vague indication of the direction that I was hoping, so that's good. Avery's personality took me a while to lock in, but I think that I'm figuring him out- when you make a character, it's really them telling you who they are, and when I started the story he had only really just come into being so he wasn't quite fleshed out at that point. But, as I do, I found myself impatient, and now the beginning of this Fic is so horrible that most people seem to drop it, leaving the parts that might actually turn out somewhat interesting unread. Well, that was my little rant, thank you for reading if you did, and apologies for the unneeded and  excess commentary if not.
