Three years ago Kali met Nathan and their friendship stuck. Kali was at school when there had been a fight in the cafeteria. Kali was one of the people in the fight.
"Don't speak about me being adopted again!" Kali screamed and she began hurting the other girl. The other girl fought back and both of them were sent to the nurse, then the office. Narcissa was called, but it was Lucius who came. Kali looked up at him with shock and Lucius saw Nathan, thinking the worst. He then saw the other girl and he sat Kali down in his lap.
"I called her Mother, I was hoping-"
"Hoping is not good for you. I arrived, that is all that matters. What happened to my daughter and I want the truth."
"She attacked me, that fucking psycho."
"You started it, Yari, she has been mean to me ever since I have gotten to this school and I got sick of it. I stuck up for myself."
"Sticking up for yourself and physically attacking another student are different things, miss Malfoy. You cannot attack another student because they said something mean to you."
"They insulted my daughter, and that is the best you've got?" The Principal looked at Lucius and then down at Yari.
"I insulted her because she deserved it. She is a freak of nature and no one but that stupid Nathan kid likes her."
"Hey, how about I hit you a few times too and then you might shut your damn mouth," Nathan said out of the blue and Lucius looked back at him. That was the thing about Nathan that no other person had. Courage. Everyone else who met Lucius was afraid of him, but not Nathan.
"Now now, Nathan, sit down please. We don't want to escalate the situation anymore than it already has. Yari, you will be put in detention for a month for your harsh words towards Ms. Malfoy and you, Kali, will be expelled for hurting another student." Lucius pulled Kali immediately off his lap and he stood up, leaning over the Principal's desk.
"Come again, I don't think I heard you correctly. Did you say you would expel my daughter?" The Principal looked up at him with fear and nodded her head.
"That... is exactly what I said."
"So you admit that you allow bullying here at this school? You allow this... filthy kid to discriminate against my child because she is different? That sounds like a matter I will have to talk to some of my friends about. Expect a call from me in a few days about how much you will be sued for." The Principal swiftly stood up as Lucius grabbed Kali's hand to leave and she stopped them.
"Mr. Malfoy, I don't think suing is the right thing to do in this matter."
"Oh I think it is quite the right thing to do. You are discriminating against my daughter for being adopted. You are teaching kids what is wrong." Lucius didn't care about the other kids, the only kid that truly mattered at the end of the day, was Kali.
"Now, that is not true. I never said anything about her being adopted. Listen, I can change her punishment, but she will still have to have one." Lucius looked down at Kali and she nodded. He looked back up at the Principal and sighed.
"And what will it be this time, lady?"
"Detention with Yari, for the whole month just like her." Lucius went to argue but Kali stopped him. He sighed and nodded his head.
"Okay, but if I hear even one thing, then I am going to blow this place sky high with bankruptcy." Lucius pulled Kali along and she grabbed his hand tight.
"Dad, I don't feel so good." She passed out right there and Nathan ran up to her.
"Boy, you better step far away from my daughter."
