The next morning, the sky was a clear expanse of blue, with not a cloud in sight. The light of the early sun gently filtered through her curtains, stirring her from sleep. Being a light sleeper, she was up at the crack of dawn, drawn to the promise of a beautiful day. Stretching and yawning, she glanced out of the window and saw the day was warm and inviting. With a smile, she decided to seize the opportunity and go for a jog. She laced up her trainers, stepped outside, and breathed in the crisp morning air. The world seemed to awaken with her as she ran through the quiet streets, enjoying the gentle rustling of leaves and the chorus of birds welcoming the new day. Each stride made her feel more alive, connected to the serene beauty of nature around her.
Upon returning from her jog, she treated herself to a well-deserved iced coffee. The cold drink was a perfect counterpoint to the warmth of the morning, and she savoured every sip as she sat on her porch, feeling refreshed and energised.
Realising she was running low on groceries, she decided to make a quick trip to the store. The grocery shopping was a mundane but necessary task. She navigated through the aisles, gathering the essentials and a few extra treats. With her bags full, she headed back home, the task of grocery shopping behind her.
Once she was home, she took a moment to unwind. The jog and the coffee had set a positive tone for the day, and now she was ready for a bit of relaxation. She stepped into the shower, turning on the hot water and letting the steam envelop her. As the warm water cascaded over her, she felt the last remnants of fatigue wash away. The long, soothing shower was the perfect ending to her invigorating morning, leaving her feeling utterly refreshed and ready for whatever the day might bring.
After her long, relaxing shower, she decided to make herself a delicious breakfast. She took her time preparing a spread that included freshly made eggs, crispy bacon, and buttery toast, paired with a steaming cup of tea. She carried her breakfast to the balcony, where she settled into a comfortable chair and enjoyed her meal as she took in the tranquil morning view.
As she savoured her meal, she realised she had a free day ahead. Her thoughts turned to Namjoon, and she felt a strong urge to reach out to him. Hesitant at first, she debated whether to call. Finally, she mustered the courage and dialled his number.
After a few rings, Namjoon answered. "Hey Hana, good morning!"
"Hi Namjoon, hope you're well. I was wondering if you might be free to meet up today," she said, her voice a mix of casualness and hope.
Namjoon thought for a moment. "I actually am free today. What’s up?"
Hana took a breath. "I’d really like to clear the air between us. Can we meet for lunch?"
Namjoon, understanding the importance of the conversation, agreed. "Sure, I’d like that. How about we go to one of my favourite spots? It’s a high-end, discreet restaurant, perfect for some privacy."
"That sounds great," Hana replied, relieved and pleased. "What time were you thinking?"
"How about noon?" Namjoon suggested. "I’ll make sure it’s a good place to catch up and talk things through."
"Perfect," Hana confirmed, looking forward to their meeting. "See you then."
They hung up, both anticipating a productive and enjoyable lunch.
Hana couldn't quite shake the sense of tension that clung to her as she prepared for her meeting with Namjoon. Despite the sunny day and the pleasant breakfast, her mind was preoccupied with worries about the upcoming conversation.
