As CEO of Kim Enterprises, Taehyung sat at his desk, his usually confident posture now marred by deep concentration. The JBIMS project had been consuming his thoughts, and he couldn't reconcile the discrepancy between his expectations and the reality of the deal his company had secured.Jungkook, ever observant, noticed Taehyung's troubled expression as he entered the office.
"Hyung, you seem lost in thought. What's bothering you?"Taehyung looked up, his eyes reflecting his concern.
"It's the JBIMS project. Hana and Park Corporation had such a superior layout. I'm certain they should have won. I can't understand how we ended up with the deal."Jungkook furrowed his brow, contemplating the situation.
"It’s possible that other factors influenced the decision—perhaps our proposal had strengths that weren't immediately obvious, or maybe our negotiation skills made a difference."
Taehyung, though appreciative of Jungkook's perspective, remained unconvinced. He leaned forward, his gaze sharp and intent.
"I appreciate your thoughts, Jungkook, but I have a feeling there's something more going on here. I suspect there might be internal conflicts within Park Corporation—perhaps someone there is trying to undermine Hana. But why would they do that? And what’s driving this power struggle? I can't quite put my finger on it."
Jungkook looked intrigued but concerned. "You think someone within their ranks is behind this? That’s quite a theory. It would explain some of the unexpected elements in the deal."
Taehyung nodded, his mind racing. "Yes, it’s a hunch. We need to dig deeper into the situation. If there are internal dynamics at play, understanding them could offer us insights into why we received the deal and what we might expect in the future."
Determined, Taehyung resolved to investigate further, seeking to uncover any underlying motives or power plays within Park Corporation that could shed light on their unexpected success.
Jungkook’s confusion was evident as he listened to Taehyung’s response. “I’m not sure I follow, Hyung. Why focus on Park Corporation’s internal issues?”
Taehyung leaned forward, his expression earnest. “Even though they’re our competitors, they’re still people, Jungkook. Betrayal is a pervasive fear in the business world.
I don't want our success to be tainted by some internal strife within their company. It’s not about winning this project by default or through someone else’s misfortune.
If we gain this deal because of genuine merit, that’s one thing. But if it’s due to internal conflict, then our win is hollow, and it could just as easily happen to us in the future.”
Jungkook nodded slowly, beginning to understand Taehyung’s perspective. “So, you’re saying it’s about ensuring our victory is legitimate and not a result of others' failures?”
“Exactly,” Taehyung affirmed. “We need to verify the situation thoroughly. If we uncover something significant, we’ll consider whether to pass the information to Hana. If not, we need to be aware of potential future risks. Let’s dig deeper and ensure our victory stands on its own merits.”
Jungkook agreed, ready to assist in uncovering any underlying issues, all while keeping the integrity of Kim Enterprises’ success in mind.
As Jungkook prepared to step aside, Taehyung’s older brother, Kim Namjoon, made a grand entrance. His presence was marked by an air of elegance and composure, fitting of his stature. Jungkook immediately bowed in respect, a small smile gracing his lips as he greeted Namjoon.
