Sneha's pov

I was looking out my door window, trying to catch a glimpse of my soon-to-be husband.  Tomorrow's the big day. He's so tall and muscular.  But...why does he seem so forced?  No, I'm probably just overthinking it. Maybe he's shy or nervous. It is his first time getting married, after all. 'Well, of course it is, stupid' I thought, mentally chiding myself.  I shook my head, trying to clear these nagging doubts from my mind.

Time   skipped

Reyansh's pov

I'm getting married today to some so-called village girl named ...named...whatever!  It doesn't even matter. I'll divorce her soon enough. I thought, staring at myself in the mirror.

Suddenly, a voice broke through my

thoughts.

"Chal bhai, kitna niharega khudko? Late ho gaya, na toh tu hi sunega daant mumma ki."

(Come on, brother, how much are you going to stare at yourself? It's getting late, and then you'll be the one to get scolded by Mom.)

I turned towards my brother, Rishabh.

Reyansh

Bhai"s eyes widened.

"Chale,"  i said, adjusting his sherwani.

(Let's go)

"OMG BROO! You're looking damn handsome! Aakhir bhai kiska hai!"  Rishabh exclaimed.
(After all, whose brother is he!)

We both chuckled and headed downstairs.
I saw Mom and my dad standing downstairs, talking to the maids.  Mom looked at me and smiled. I love my mom's smile; it's the most precious smile in the world. She came towards me and hugged me, getting a little emotional.

"Mumma," I said softly, comforting her.

"Mera bacha kitna sundar lag raha hai," she said. I smiled in response.

(My son looks so handsome)

"Ya, because he's my son," Dad said, putting his hand on my shoulder.

"Kitna bada ho gaya, aaj shadi hai mere bete ki," Mom said, and it hit me – the reality of the situation.

(My son has grown so much; today is my son's wedding)

"Bas, bas bhai, vidayi nahi ho rahi iski," Rishabh said teasingly, and I glared at him.

(Come on, guys, he's not going to another house; he'll be with us)

"Teri kyun jal rahi hai? Everyone already knows that I'm the favorite child." I retorted.

(Why are you getting jealous? Everyone already knows I'm the favorite child)

Before Rishabh could reply, I saw Aditi Bhabi coming towards us.

"See, Bhabi will also take my side. Right, Bhabi?" I said.

"Ya, of course, Devar Ji. My little brother is looking so handsome." Aditi replied.

"What about me?" Rishabh asked.

"Oh, I see you're also here. I didn't notice you," Aditi said teasingly.
Rishabh shook his head in disbelief, being dramatic.

Everyone chuckled.

Then, we all left for the so-called venue.

Sneha's pov

I'm ready for the marriage. I'm incredibly nervous. I'm about to start a new life with my husband. It's the beginning of a new story. My life is going to change, and I hope this change will be for the better. My childhood friend, Karishma, is sitting with me in my room. Suddenly, I heard Maa's voice.

"Jaldi karo, mahurat nikal raha hai!" Mom called.

(Hurry up, the auspicious time is passing!)

"Maa," I replied.

"Meri bachi kitni pyari lag rahi hai" Maa said, kissing me on the head.

(

My child, you look so beautiful)

After that, I met my brothers and Dad.

Then, my brothers and Karishma escorted me towards the mandap (wedding altar). I sat there. I saw him; he was looking really handsome. Our dresses and the venue were simple, yet
elegant.

Time skipped..

After all the rituals were completed, it was time for my vidai (farewell).  A flood of childhood memories washed over me. I was crying badly, trying to hide my pain behind a smile. But it was all in vain when I saw tears in my brothers' eyes. They both came and caressed my head.

"Apna dhyan rakhna," (Take care of yourself) Karan Bhai said, wiping away my tears.

"Aur ha, agar koi pareshani ho toh batana.. tere bhai hain saath," (And yes, if you have any problem, tell us; your brothers are with you) Abhi Bhai added. I smiled in response.

After saying goodbye to all my loved ones, I sat in the car with a fake smile plastered on my face, trying to hold back the tears.
