-Sneha's pov'

I woke up to the gentle rocking of the car.

The last rays of the setting sun painted the sky in hues of orange and pink, casting a warm glow inside the vehicle.

Itna time lg gya kya? Subhe bhi toh lga tha pagal!

Reyansh ji was still beside me, his eyes closed, his breathing even and soft. He looked peaceful.

"Yeh bhi so gye?" I mumbled

(He also slept?)

The car slowed down and then came to the parking . I looked out the window and realized we were home.

I carefully extract myself from him .

The driver opened the door for me, and as I stepped out, the cool evening air kissed my face.

Reyansh ji stirred and then opened his eyes. He smiled when he saw me already outside.

He got out of the car and immediately came to my side, his hand finding mine.

"Apko ab bhi support ki zarurat hai" he said .

(You still need support)

We walked towards the house, hand in hand, a comfortable silence between us.

As we entered, the atmosphere felt different. It was quieter than usual.

Mummy ji wasn't in the living room, nor were the other elders.

"Where is everyone?" I asked softly, a hint of nervousness creeping in.

Reyansh ji squeezed my hand reassuringly. "They're waiting in the dining room."

My heart skipped a beat. The announcement. It was really going to happen.

We walked into the dining room, and all eyes turned towards us. Mummy ji, Papa ji were both seated around the large table. Their expressions were unreadable.

Isn't roshni di home?

Reyansh ji held my hand firmly as we approached the table.

He didn't sit down but stood beside me, his gaze sweeping over the elders.

"Mumma , papa" he began, his voice clear and steady,

"I have something to say."

A hush fell over the room. I could feel my palms sweating.

"Sneha will be continuing her education" he announced, his tone matter-of-fact, leaving no room for argument.

"She will be taking online classes, and I will ensure she has everything she needs to pursue her studies." The silence that followed felt heavy, stretching on for what seemed like an eternity.

I kept my gaze lowered, my heart pounding in my chest.

Finally, Mummy ji spoke, her voice surprisingly calm.

"Reyansh, did you think about the responsibilities she has here? This is a household, not a school." She said.

My heart sank. I had expected this.
But Reyansh ji stood his ground.

"I have thought about everything, Mummy ji. Sneha is capable of managing both her studies and her responsibilities. And I will be there to support her in every way." Reyash ji said .

Papa ji cleared his throat. "And what about the expenses? Education is not cheap."

"I will take care of all the expenses, papa." Reyansh ji replied immediately.
