Jay and Evie lead me to their old hideout and I spotted Carlos' Vespa I bought him. Jay threw a rock at a sign and the gate opened. "Wish me luck." I sighed.

"All the way up." Jay told me, and I started walking up the stairs.

"Good luck." Evie smiled, and they both started to wait for me.

I did what Jay told me to do, go all the way to the top of the building. I entered a large room, with spray paint covering the walls. I walked further in a spotted Dude sleeping on a small dog bed. Then I spotted Carlos. He was standing on a stool, spray painting himself, Mal, Evie and Jay. "At least I don't see a picture of me with horns and a pitch fork." I chuckled.

Carlos spun around and his eyes widened when he spotted me. "Y/n..." I tried to walk over to him, but he held his hand out for me to stop.

"Carlos, I'm so sorry about our fight." I apologized. "It was all my fault. Please come home."

He took a few steps towards me. "Y/N...I am home."

"I brought the limo." I smiled. "It's a sweet ride."

"I don't fit in, Y/N." Carlos sighed. "I really gave it my best shot. And if you think that I can change, I think you're wrong."

"Then I'll change." I told him. "I'll skip school, have more fun. You know, I-I'll blow off some of my responsibilities."

"No, no!" He snapped. "See? I'm such a terrible influence. It's only a matter of time before I do something so messed up that not only does the kingdom turn on me, but they turn on you."

I grabbed his hand tightly. "Don't quit us, Carlos. The people love you. I love you. Don't you love me?"

He softly sighed and put a strand of hair behind my ear. "I have to take myself out of the picture because it's what's best for you, and it's what's best for Auradon." He released my hand and walked back over to the wall.

 "Carlos, no, please." I pleaded.

"Y/N...I can't do this." He frowned. "You should go, Y/N. Y/N, please go.Please leave."

Tears stung my eyes but I slowly nodded and walked out. "Y/N wait!" I heard Dude call out at me as I walked down the stairs.

"It's no use, Dude." I sighed. Then I stopped in my tracks and stared at him. "Wait a sec, did you just...talk?"

"Yeah it's kinda a long story, but you can't go, you have to convince Carlos to come back!" He said.

I carried on walking and shook my head. "He isn't coming back, Dude."

I walked out the gate and Jay and Evie noticed my sad expression.

"So?" Jay asked.

Evie gasped. "Where's Carlos?"

"He's not coming back." I frowned.

"Y/N stay here, me and Jay will go talk to him." Evie said, throwing a rock at the sign, and they both ran up the steps towards the hideout.

I sat on the floor and started silently crying. "Don't cry." Dude sighed. "He'll come around...I hope. You know, I can't live off of Isle rats forever."

"This the lass you were talking about, Gil?" A voice said behind me. I stood up and spun around. The boy I bumped into earlier and a tall, dark haired boy, who was holding a hook, were standing behind me.

"Yup." Gil nodded. "Princess Y/N."

The boy with the hook took a step towards me and smirked. "We really hit the jackpot, eh? We might really get out of this dump once and for all."
