1 Week Later...

Georgini's Mazatlán, Sinaloa Mexico

Arizona sat at a table in a knee high dress with a pair of black open toe sandals. Her hair was done up. She sat across the table from Gabriel who had worn a dashing black tux with a red undershirt with no tie.

For the past week, Gabriel would make his way down to the beach each morning where the hammock cabana was; and where Arizona spent her mornings watching the ocean. He started bringing coffee to the beach. They would talk as the sun rose, both of them enjoying a coffee. After a few days, Gabriel asked her out to dinner, which she declined since she wasn't planning to stay in Sinaloa for much longer. A few days later he asked her out again and she hesitantly accepted his invitation.

Gabriel ordered them an expensive bottle of red wine, while the two of them made small talk. "I wasn't sure if you were going to agree to dinner tonight, especially after you said no a few nights ago," Gabriel said in Spanish. Arizona nodded taking a sip of the wine, "It's not that I didn't want to have dinner with you Gabriel," She replied softly meeting his green eyes. Gabriel set his glass of wine down before reaching across the table to hold her hand. "Then why?" he asked her softly, "I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to be staying in Sinaloa," she replied.

Gabriel nodded, "And you don't want to get serious if you aren't staying?" he said more than asked earning a nod from her. "Well darling, this doesn't have to be serious if that's what you want and fortunately for you my job causes me to travel a lot on business," he replied earning a nod from Arizona. Who understood the security more since Gabriel was here most likely on business.

"So where were you thinking of heading?" Gabriel asked her causing Arizona to shrug unsure. "I'm not entirely sure yet, just ready for the next adventure I guess. You know?' She asked him as she took another sip of the wine before their food arrived.

The two were quiet for a bit as they ate until Gabriel broke the silence, "I get that, where are you from? Because I swear I know you from somewhere," He asked. "I was born and raised in Hawaii," she replied. "I knew it, we went to grade school together if I remember correctly," Gabriel replied causing Arizona to pause and look at him stunned.

"Wow, it's been a really long time and I can't believe you remember that," she replied with a smile. "You know I kinda had a crush on you back then," Gabriel replied causing Arizona's cheeks to go red. "Did you? no way!" she replied, "I did, I remember you ended up moving to the mainland shortly after that too," he added earning a nod from her.

Arizona drank the last sip of her wine before she spoke, "My mom... died,  and my dad sent me to stay with my uncle on the mainland," Arizona explained as Gabriel picked up the bottle of wine that was left on the table and poured her a glass of wine. "I'm sorry to hear about you Mom," Gabriel said as he set the bottle down again.

"Thank you," she said referring to the apology about her mom's death and the wine. "How's your dad doing?" Gabriel asked causing her to take a chug of the wine. "He passed away a little over 3 months ago," she replied with a sad sigh. "I'm sorry to hear about you Dad too," Gabriel said softly rubbing the top of her hand with his thumb. "Is that why you out here?" he asked earning a nod. "I couldn't go back to work on the mainland afterward, I kinda quit and left my job out of the blue after the funeral and I've been traveling ever since," she replied earning a nod from him. "I'm heading on a business trip to Cancun in the morning if you want to accompany me?" Gabriel offered.

Arizona paused looking at him as she took a sip of wine. She'd always heard amazing things about Cancun but never had the time to go. "Accompany you?" she asked him earning a nod. "I have a house there on the beach, you can hang out there while I have my business meetings. After that I can take you to dinner, how does steak sound?" he asked. Arizona nodded, "it sounds wonderful," she replied with a smile.
