Auria

It's Sunday which means I can finally rest after a week of work.

Maaga pa, so I'm just gonna have some milk muna, it was advised din by my doctor. Will help keep the baby healthy, as well as me!

While I was in the kitchen, my ears picked up on something, like the sound of small wheels rolling against the tiled floor of the living room. With the glass of milk in hand, I made my way there only to find Rafael bringing in suitcases and baggages.

His eyes were quick to spot me who just walked out of the dining room. A little smile appeared on the corner of his lips whilst he was setting the bags just below the last step of the stairs.

"Oh? What are you doing?"

He chuckled. "Ano pa ba? I'm moving back in."

What? Eh wala naman kaming pinag-usapang ganyan. We just cleared things up between us and Adeline eh.

He walked up to me, then he gently rubbed my stomach at the same time he kissed my cheek.

"You need someone with you through this, and that's me. I need to monitor you and the baby everyday," he said.

I subconciously rolled my eyes due to the fact that I don't need that kind of care yet, but he's already volunteering. "Wala pa naman."

He slightly puffed out his chest. "Kahit na, you still need my help."

Okay, fine! As if may laban ako sa ama ng mga anak ko, 'no!

"Eh paano 'yung bahay mo?" tanong ko.

"That's not my home anymore. My home is wherever you and Adeline are, and that's here."

Okay, that made me smile. Kahit naman madali akong ma-corny-han, little things like that still gives me joy.

"Oh sige na, I'll help you unpack later. Ubusin ko lang itong gatas." I showed him the glass of milk in my hand in which he just nodded to.

By the time I was able to prepare breakfast, Adeline was already home from biking around the village.

"Ang sipag mag-exercise ah!" kantyaw ng Dad niya sa kaniya habang hinihingal siya papasok sa dining room.

Hinampas niya ng mahina sa braso si Raf saka tumungo sa ref para kumuha ng tubig.

"Magpalit ka muna bago tayo kumain ng breakfast," bilin ko dahil amoy labas ng bahay siya.

"Yes, Ma'am!" she saluted as she ran with a bottle of cold water in her hand.

This feels nice. It's a slow morning, hindi kailangang magmadali for work or for errands.

We can rest all day, and the best part is we're complete.

Sa totoo lang, even before, I was always craving for a perfect day such as this one. I'm lucky that it's all coming together for me.

"Wala kang appointments today?" Raf asked.

I shook my head 'no'. "Tamad na tamad ako. Gusto ko na lang humiga buong araw."

"Must be the baby making you feel sluggish," he suggested, which actually makes sense.

Lately, sobrang antok talaga ako! Parang kahit saan ako mapasandal, nakakatulog ako eh. Lagi ring pagod ang pakiramdam ko kahit wala pa naman akong ginagawa.

"You're right! Kaya huwag mo akong i-stress-in para hindi ako mapagod!" pabiro kong saway sa kaniya.

Inabot niya ang kamay ko na nakapatong sa mesa saka bahagyang pinisil. "I won't. Now that I'm here again, I'll make sure that you'll get your princess treatment," he said, making me roll my eyes jokingly.
