So many thoughts are circling around my head while driving over to Auri's. Paano ba naman, ayaw sabihin kung bakit bigla bigla niya akong pinapapunta. Basta raw, pumunta ako. Sinong hindi magpapanic sa gano'n?

I already told the boys to resched or go on without me because if Auri isn't sharing the matter through text, then it must be serious, and serious talks with her always take a long time to finish.

Upon arriving at their house, I immediately looked for her.

All the thoughts inside my head came to a halt when I found her in the dining room, staring blankly out in the open with a plate of half eaten sandwich in front of her.

She innocently averted her gaze when she noticed me by the door. A hint of surprise and nonchalance in her eyes.

"Hey, what is it? Are you okay?" I asked while walking towards her.

The next words she uttered felt like it was spat out in slow motion. "Buntis ako."

I stopped on my tracks, a mix of surprise, excitement, shock, and every other emotion there is to feel are already taking over me.

My system is trying to comprehend again whatever she said, so I unconciously said, 'Ha?', because I wanted to hear it again.

She rolled her eyes, accompanied with a bored look on her face.

"Narinig mo naman, ipapaulit pa," sabi niya.

It still wasn't sinking in, so I stared at her until it dawned on me that I'm looking at my beautiful woman together with the child that she's bearing.

"Are you really?" I had to ask one more time, just for the sake of my sanity.

Pinandilatan niya ako kaya lalo kong na-confirm ang sinabi niya. She's being moody!

Without missing a beat, I ran up to her, my arms encircling themselves around her.

I tried to discreetly feel her stomach, and even though I can't feel the baby that much yet, it still made me smile.

"When did you find out?" I excitedly asked with no plans of holding back showing my happiness.

She held on to my arms, gently rubbing them. "Earlier. Regular check up ko sa gyne ko," she revealed. "Last night, nag-take na ako ng PT kasi I'm feeling the symptoms, kaso negative. And then saktong sakto naman, I have a check up today. There, confirmed through tests."

I can't express how happy I am with this news. It seems only yesterday when Auria surprised me with the news that she's pregnant with Adeline. That was one of the highest points of my life, and now, here comes another one, at one of the most unexpected times.

"Ang laki laki na ni Adeline, bibigyan mo pa talaga ng kapatid," she said in a serious tone, but her face is for sure kidding.

"Ayaw mo ba?" pabiro kong bulong habang ipinupulupot ang braso sa bewang niya.

"Gusto," sagot niya saka palihim na ngumiti. "Paano natin sasabihin kay Adeline? Anong magiging reaction no'n?" sunod sunod niyang tanong.

"You're the boss," I told her.

Iniatras niya ng bahagya ang ulo niya. "Ako talaga? The pressure's on me?"

I chuckled, slightly brushing my nose against her cheek. "We'll do it together na lang," I suggested.

"But not now," she appealed.

"Alright." I kissed her cheek as I tightened my arms around her.
