EJ POV

My parents were keeping an eye on the kids, and since it was a Friday night and there was no school tomorrow, they somehow all convinced me to have a night to myself so they could do a movie night in the living room. I was told it was a heated debate between 'Three Caballeros' and 'Little Mermaid'. I shrugged knowing my parents, and it was only seven, both movies would probably be played. Little Mermaid first, because Emery was still little and would probably fall asleep mid-movie.

So, I called Darren. I knew he had wanted to talk to me about something with the house and zoning, but I swear I never thought that I'd have to deal with this bitch again. She marked her territory. I didn't pursue him, I didn't try to talk to him outside of a professional relationship, and I feel like anything he did or said was on him. Not me. And, I'd rather she kept it that way!

Pulling up to the house, I see lights on all over the backyard, outside the garage, and the front and side doors. Walking around my SUV to the trunk, I opened it and went over to check the side door to see if it was open or needed unlocked before I filled my arms with food. The door opened right away, which could mean they're inside, or they're working outside on setting up the cameras. Either way, I'm bringing the food in. Leaving the door open only a small bit, I went back to my SUV and grabbed the boxes and bags of food I'd gotten.

I'd brought two pizzas. One was a Nashville Hot Chicken pizza that I was going to devour at least three slices myself, and cheesy bread. The other was a meat pizza. I also stopped for Chinese food and an order of chicken nuggets and two burgers. I wasn't sure what they were in the mood for, but I wanted Chinese and pizza. It sounded so yummy. And I was starving after the insanely long, mentally draining twelve hours I was at work. And after my parents offered to keep the kids...I wanted to visit my biggest creative outlet. The house. So...here I was.

Getting a shit ton of food out of my car and taking it into a house where, honestly, the two of them could have easily just ordered food to be dropped off. And they might have. I was also probably making a huge ass of myself if it turned out they had eaten. Though, I haven't. I haven't eaten since lunch today at eleven and it was now almost eight in the evening. I was practically ravenous. No one would stand between me and my pizza. Or egg rolls. I felt the need to check and make sure I wasn't drooling after I set the food down on the kitchen counter that wasn't being taken up by all kinds of cameras and other electronics. Through the sliding door, just barely squeezing past the tree, Sean came in. I smiled at him as turned to grab the giant bottles of water and to grab my 'House bag' as I'd started calling it where I kept my graph paper, ruler, pencils, tape measure, clipboard, and tablet in. I stumbled backward slightly tripping after I bumped into a solid wall.

A solid wall holding me tightly against it.

What the fuck?

Opening my eyes, I noticed I was looking at a slightly exposed, tanned, very muscular chest, covered by a worn-out cut-off t-shirt. From that perfectly sculpted chest with some chest hair right in the middle of it, I looked up, tracing the lines defining this amazing body, and allowed my eyes to continue on the journey, soaking up every detail of this chest. From the tattoos and chest hair to the muscular neck, to the long hair falling out of a ponytail, I kept slowly eye-fucking my way further up toward the face that belonged to this perfect chest with tattoos.

Getting to his face, my eyes half-hooded from all of the dirty thoughts of what I'd like to do with and to this man when I gazed into the eyes of...Darren?

What?! What the fuck?!

I felt my cheeks flush at the realization that I bumped into Mount St. Hottie and nearly fell off the side of the mountain, leading to death by embarrassment. Dear...dear god, he looked good enough to lick something sweet off of his...Nope! We are not doing this! Not right now. I needed to think about that later. He smirked down at me, holding the two bottles of water I bought while it registered that his left arm and hand held me up. I felt my blush deepen, as I was righted on my feet.

"You're cute when you blush," he smirked at me, looking like he'd won the battle, which he might have. I might have also moved thoughts of him to 'maybe not' territory, simply because I don't need that added complication in my life. And that was a lonely place to be. I looked at him, an amused glint in his eyes.

Okay, maybe not that lonely.

Destiny POV

That no good, stupid fucking piece of shit!

Both of them!

Now I just couldn't fucking stand this. I was waiting on a side street a little way down from her house, hoping to catch sight of his truck leaving. Does it? No. An all-black car joined his. They quickly carried all kinds of stuff in. I had no idea what was going on. I was hiding in the bushes, looking like an idiot. But I needed to know what was happening. I needed to know. What was he doing if he wasn't with me? Where and how was he spending his time? He'd blocked my number, so I downloaded one of those number-generating apps that I could text him from.

He was mine first. Just as I'm getting ready to head back to my car and leave my hiding spot, another car pulls in. The sun is just starting to set. I watch as the person gets out.

That fucking man stealing whore.

She opened the side door and went to grab boxes out of the trunk and take them inside. As she disappeared inside, the fence opened and closed, and then I saw him.

My man. My Dare.

He grabbed a few bottles of water out of her trunk and closed it, walking inside. I sat there. Dumbfounded.

I was...right? They really were meeting like this? How could he? We were so good together. My stomach started to roll at the thought of it. A few minutes later, the side door of the house opened again. Darren stepped out and she was right behind him. She grabbed a bag off the front passenger seat while he grabbed something from the driver's side.

How were they working so well together already? How did they seem so at ease with each other? It had only been a couple of weeks since Darren told me we were done. But he'd said that before. We'd always get back together.

But...he'd never gone to another woman when we were on our breaks. That's what's different this time.

Her.

She's going to be a problem.

Once darkness fully fell, I walked back to my car. I didn't need to see how late they stayed together and hurt myself more. I had work to do to get rid of this woman. Plus, it was almost that time of year.

She's got to go.
