the mummy speaks a prophecy

the next morning after breakfast Percy left to talk to Grover about something. as Ruby and Nico made their way to the volleyball court because the Stoll brothers had talked Nico into meeting them over there.

as they made it their Ruby found a place to seat near the court next to Nico.

"hey Ruby!" Nico exclaimed, as he poked her arm trying to get her attention,

"yah Nico?" Ruby asked turning to look at him. 

"i just needed your attention," Nico said happily, Ruby rolled her eyes at him but smiled anyway. she glanced over at the hunters of Artemis who apparently also had the idea to come to the volleyball court and she saw Bianca looking like she was having a good time with them. she frowned slightly she knew taking care of Nico most of her life must have been stress full but he is still only ten even he was supposedly safe at camp.

then she saw Sapphire walking towards the big house looking around like she didn't want anyone to know what she was doing.

"hey Nico i need to um.... go to the bathroom i'll be back," Ruby said as she quickly got up from her seat and went towards the big house just as Sapphire slipped through the doors.

she walked up the steps of the big house and looked through the window to see Sapphire and Chiron talking about something and with each word sapphire seemed to say Chiron's face got more sour.

Ruby tried to hear what they were saying but they were too far from the window. the only thing she could make out was,

"daughter of-" then the rest was muffled out. she saw Chiron nodded softly, and Sapphire nodded back then turned around towards the door.

Ruby quickly rushed behind a bush outside the big house as Sapphire walked out and looked around carefully making sure she didn't miss anything. As soon as Sapphire was sure no one was there she walked down the steps of the big house to find Percy or that what Ruby assumed.

Ruby stood up from behind the bush then heard a voice behind her,

"so how much did you hear Ruby?" Ruby spun around to meet sea green eyes staring her down.

"not much," she replied, as her surprise quickly faded.

"why did you wanna come here?" Sapphire asked,

"i guess curiosity took over," Ruby shrugged, "you're also very bad at seeming not suspicious."

Sapphire frowned, "do you got any tips?"

"first of all act normal and not all fake spy stuff," Sapphire sighed as Ruby crossed her arms and walked away.

"should find your brother," Ruby said pulling her headphones over her ears. Sapphire looked at her confused did she think she had no one to hang out with besides Percy? Ruby looked back and saw Chiron walked out of the big house probably to teach a class or something.

Ruby made her way back to the volleyball court and saw Nico watching a game between cabin eleven and the hunters of Artemis.

"hey Nico who's winning?" Ruby asked sitting down next to him. he looked at her a little disappointed,

"the hunters of Artemis," he grumbled as he crossed his arms.

the night after dinner Ruby was not looking forward to war capture the flag.  She saw the hunters of Artemis 'bout thirteen (including Bianca) of them huddled up whispering and they looked upset, some even looked like they'd been crying, as they strapped on their armer.
