"Rainbow dash we're making pie not boxing!" applejack facepalmed her face.
"Listen I told you it was a better idea for you to make it while I watched!" she scoffed back. "It's impossible for me to be gentle with freaking dough!"
"Let me help ya out, show me your hands" applejack asked and rainbow agreed.
The blond carefully took her hands and placed her own on top of hers, with one, she held the bowl and with the other she held the spoon.
"Ya have to be careful when making the apple filling, the apples could get damaged get it' ?"
But rainbow wasn't getting it. She felt something tight on her chest and forgot how to breathe for a while, she was slowly inhaling a sweet apple smell and she knew the source of it. But she never felt the urge to grab that face and just-
She mentally facepalmed her face. What was she thinking??
Thankfully those thoughts did not come back that night.

"Mm! This apple pie is delicious!" rainbow was extremely happy to have had the patience of beating up dough to taste this delicious pie.
"Rainbow ya might have to go easier on the pie now, it's been your third slice, you as an athlete should know better to take care of your body"
"Aww c'mon AJ! Don't be like that! Just one last bite, pleaseee" she begged as she took applejack's hands.
The blonde immediately looked away " Fine, one last bite."
"You know what this remind me of?" said rainbow laughing. "That one time when we were younger and I got set up with lighting dust on a date?" she kept laughing. " we ate do many apple pies and then you came and found us both asleep on the grass, it was hilarious!"
Applejack kept silent for a second " It's getting late now Dash, let's go sleep."
"What?? Why so early? And did you just call me Dash?" rainbow said as she got up after applejack.
She wasn't able to see applejack's face, it was hidden by her Stetson hat. She quickly went upstairs and left rainbow in her own.
Rd was perplexed, but she didn't think much of it. She then went to bed and didn't think much of it.
The next morning, Rainbow was weirdly excited to have more chores, but when she went downstairs no one was there except big Mac.
"Big Mac, hey! Is applejack here?"
"Eenope" he bluntly said.
"Did she leave??" she asked a second question.
"Eeyup, said she had chores out of town."
"Oh. I see, I guess I'll go home early then." she said sadly. Why would applejack leave all of a sudden??
She spent the rest of the day at her house. Lounging around. Which is usually what would make her really happy but for some reason she felt weird that day..

Pp: Good morning dashie!!! How was your weekend!!" asked pinkie pie.
It was now Monday and rainbow had english with pinkie and fluttershy.
"Well it went well, but I'm so beat. I need a nap asap. " she said as she plopped her head onto the desk.
The two first classes went by quickly, it was now lunch time. Rainbow spotted applejack grabbing food at the cafeteria.
"Hey AJ!! "
"Good morning rainbow dash"she replied
Rainbow was weirded out by her reply" are you still mad at me cause I make better pie? "She smirked and applejack didn't reply.
"Oh so that's what it is! Don't worry smacklejack I can teach ya how to make an apple pie better! You just-"
"Quit it Rainbow dash! " she screamed.
Rainbow was shocked by the glare she was getting from AJ, she never looked at her so, coldly? She still shrugged it off and followed her to her seat.

"And then the teacher pointed out how much of an observer I am and gave me an extra sheet! How kind is that!! " pinkie exclaimed.
"Pinkie, darling, I seriously don't think that was a good thing. You see-"
Sunset cut rarity off." Why dont'cha let her live happily in her illusions" she smiled and they both chuckled.
"Heya guys! Your coolest friend is here! " said rainbow.
"Hi dashie, how have you been? " asked fluttershy.
"Well, you won't believe why AJ is pissed at me right now! "She chuckled.
"Rainbow dash, not now. " the blonde replied.
"She thinks an KNOWS my pie tastes delicious so she's upset just because of that! "
"What?? Really? " twilight was confused.
Applejack didn't say anything." Ah'm not hungry anymore, I'mma head to class early". She got up and left the table.
"Alright rainbow, what's going on between you two? " sunset asked as she took a bite of her granola bar.
"What do you mean? Nothing. Just AJ being overly sensitive "she crossed her arms.
"You know, you should apologize to her, you know how much applejack hates bragginess" twilight pointed out as she finally took her nose off her book.
"You should listen to twilight, rd, just go and apologize. " replied sunset as she placed her arm on top of twilights shoulders, taking advantage of the moment with a smirk on her face. Of course she was too distracted to notice.
"I'll go see if she really is mad, then I'll see what to do. " said rainbow as she got up and went to the science class where applejack would be.

Rainbow made her way to the science classroom on the second floor. When she saw through be class window that AJ was there. For some reason, she felt very nervous to open the door.
Knock knock
Rainbow went in the class to find applejack scribbling I'm her notebook. The sunlight was blinding and her blonde hair was shining. Rainbow was dazed by the sight she had on her face. Why did applejack look like she just came from a beauty pageant all of the sudden?
She made her way closer and was only able to mutter two words.
"Hey.. aj"
Applejack looked as rainbow for a second, her greenish eyes meet her magenta's. "hey rainbow"
For a second, rainbow dash saw applejack's look on her face and she saw she looked truly hurt. She doesn't know what happened or why it happened but her body moved automatically and she got walked behind applejack, and her arms opened up behind applejack and hugged she her.
"I'm sorry" she whispered. They both felt a familiar warmth hug their bodies and just let it happen.
Applejack thought she sounded genuine. Her hand lifted up and took rainbow's shoulder.
"It's alright sugarcube. I'm glad you came" she smiled and got up, breaking the hug. But her hand was still grabbing rainbow's.
