Once Velvette had returned to the apartment that evening Vox had insisted he needed to catch up with everything to do with voxtech. He needed the distraction, needed to know if he was still needed. So now all three were sat In their old meeting room. Vox in its usual space, Valentino and Velvette either side of him.

“So what did I miss? How is everything going?” Vox asked, slipping into his old business personality. He can do this, focus on Voxtech he has tonight and five days left to figure out what to do.

“Well, look Vee we've kept things running, split some of your jobs between us or relied on your contracts in areas we weren't sure on, you don't need to worry your business is still running” Velvette Explained.

“One way to put it” Valentino scoffed, blowing a large pink cloud of smoke into the air, rolling his eyes at the glare Velvette sent his way.

“so… no losses?” Vox mumbled a small scowl on his face. a churn of self-doubt edging into his mind. how were they doing so well without him? without his main assistant? Was he really so replaceable? Was Alastor really not lying when he said they were fine without him?

“Look Vox of course there has been… a dip but we've been doing our fucking best, and once your feeling better we'll get you back into everything but…” Velvette paused and hand rolled looking for the words. Vox watched as she and Valentino exchanged looks. What were they hiding from him? Why are they hiding things from him? well… he knew why because all hes done since hes been back is fucking cry, no wonder they dont trust him… dont need him.

“but what” Vox snapped Eyes moving from Velvette to Valentino, his hands balling into fists under the table.

“Amocito don't rush things, you've barely been back, take some time to get your mind right. We've kept things running. thought you'd be fucking happy about it, of course there has been some loss baby but not enough to be concerned with right now” Valentino explained shareing a quick glace with Velvette once more, before smileing sweetly takeing another drag of his cigarette.

“Vox just give it some time, we can slowly introduce you back to the grid and we'll update you on everything then” Velvette reassured, But jumped slightly when Vox slammed a fist into the table top.

“I dont have… I just want… This wasn't how this was supposed to go…”Vox growled, before slumping back into his chair. He was supposed to come home and jump straight back into everything, why cant he? What were they hiding from him? at least Alastor was fucking honest with him… cryptic but he didnt hide anything from him, never treated him like he was made of glass.

“Vox I only agreed to this because I think we should talk, it doesn't have to be today but if we're going to help you get back to yourself… we kinda need to know what we're dealing with” Velvette's voice had that unfamiliar worry in her tone. Vox sat up quickly, freezing slightly, he'd already cried too much in front of them he couldn't tell them what had happened, what he'd been doing, that part of him didn't … didn't hate it all the time…  that part of him longed to see Alastor everyday again, whilst another part wanted him dead, angelic steel dead. That he'd given up trying to escape, that after a while he'd given up hope they were even looking for him. how pathetic he'd become… has become…

“Voxxy we've worked are asses off keeping everything running, whilst trying to find you and you know how much i hate working late” Valentino chuckles blowing cherry scented smoke Vox's way. The comforting smell drew Vox from his thoughts.

“But you didn't,” Vox snarled, standing up pushing his chair back so fast it knocked it over, making Velvette and Valentino jump slightly at the sudden bang that echoed around the room. scowling at his colleagues, Vox Felt anger burn through his chest once more. “you didn't find me did you”.
